Disclaimer: mentions of body horror

Datamined some audio for the questline for the Devil’s Ruin sidearm on January 7th. This is the first time we actually get to hear Shaxx interacting with another character in game.

In the new exotic quest , Saint and Shaxx are discussing about the crucible’s pinnacle weapons , and this part actually triggered me

Saint : “Tell me more about the weapon you crafted for young Redrix... the claymore...?”

Shaxx : “Broadsword.”

Saint : “Yeah , right.”

After escaping from Nightmare. The group finds themselves falling into a cold lake. Melody swims to the lake's surface. "Is everyone okay?" Rhythm emerges and looks at his sister. "I'm okay. I don't know the other two." Redrix emerges with Samantha on Lilly's back. "We are okay." He looks at the sky and sees dark clouds. "We need to find shelter quickly." Rhythm glances at Redrix. "Why should we listen to you?" Redrix swims past the twins with Lilly. "A storm is brewing. If you two want to be swept by it, be my guest." Melody looks at her brother. "We should go with them, brother. It's the least we can do after he saved me." Rhythm looks at the sky then at his sister. "Fine. Only because we owe him, not like I like the idea of being indebted to someone." Melody smiles and swims after Redrix with Rhythm.

Reaching the shores, Redrix looks at Samantha. "Are you okay, Samantha?" Samantha nods, and her wings disappear. "I'm okay. Thanks." She gets off Lilly and pats her. "Thank you as well." Lilly nuzzles Samantha. Redrix looks at the twins. "Do one of you know where are we?" Melody squeezes the water out of her hair. "I don't know. It's my first coming here." Rhythm walks past Redrix. "Follow me." The group follows Rhythm.

Some time passes with heavy rain. The group arrives at a cabin. Rhythm takes a key from under the welcome mat and opens the door. "Let's go inside before the weather worsens." Samantha gets off Lilly. "How do you know about this place?" Rhythm glances at Samantha. "I come here whenever I need to train." Redrix helps Melody get off Lilly. "You seem to be training a lot." He grabs his and Samantha's bags from Lilly's mouth. "Good girl. Go rest with your siblings." Lilly barks and disappears.

Melody walks to her brother. "Is coming here what you do when I'm with Dream and Ink?" Rhythm glances at his sister. "Yes. At least you were with trustworthy people." He looks at Samantha and Redrix. "Unlike those two." Redrix hands Samantha her bag and slings his over his shoulder as he glances at Rhythm. "How many rooms are there, boy?" Rhythm takes Melody's hand. "2 bedrooms, a living room, 2 two restrooms, and a kitchen." He goes inside and takes his sister with him.

Samantha walks to the cabin. "What's his problem?" Redrix follows her. "Lack of trust. I don't blame him. We are essentially strangers to them." Samantha sighs. "I guess you are right." She closes the door behind Redrix. "Rhythm, how about we split the rooms between us? Melody and I take a room while you and Redrix take the other room." Melody tugs Rhythm's hand. "It's a good idea besides we could bond together." Rhythm stares at Samantha. "Suuuuure." Samantha pulls two towels from her bag and hands one to Melody. "Well, I will change out of my wet clothes." She walks past Rhythm and looks at Melody. "Are you coming, Melody?" Melody nods and follows Samantha to their shared room.

Redrix takes two sets of clothes out of his bag. "You need to cut your sister some slack, boy." Rhythm crosses his arms. "Why, so Nightmare can corrupt and use her for his own twisted plans? Over my dusts." Redrix tosses a towel at Rhythm. "What or who is this Nightmare fellow?" Rhythm catches the towel and sits down. "Nightmare comes from an AU called Dreamtale, at least the 2nd AU with the same name." Redrix raises a brow. "Go on." Rhythm drys his face. "He is a self-proclaimed God who feeds off negative emotions and the sorts. He is after Melody because she can bring out positive emotions similar to his twin brother Dream but through songs." Redrix takes a piece of cloth and cleans his revolvers. "I assume this twin sibling of his can harm him? Considering, he spit out one of my bullets." Rhythm nods. "Yeah. Despite this, Dream doesn't want to end his brother." Redrix sets his guns on the table. "That's wishful thinking. And the whole positive emotions thing revolts him, right?" Rhythm takes his overcoat off. "That's the jist of it." He rubs his face. Redrix gives Rhythm a set of clothes. "Worry about that later. Right now, change your clothes so you don't catch a cold." He leaves Rhythm alone to change.

A green dome appears around Melody, stopping the attack. "Huh?" Samantha looks at the dome. "Took you long enough, Redrix!" An intense pillar of fire burns the creature's arm off as it bellows in agony. Redrix walks out of the pillar onto a beast with a smirk. "It was a hassle following you, Samantha." Redrix looks at Melody. "Are you okay, young lady?" Melody nods. "Thank you, sir." Redrix tips his hat. "No problem. Now, can someone tell me what we are dealing with?" Samantha throws an abundance of spears at the creature. "They are called husks. A colony of parasites that leches onto dead bodies to reanimate and mutate them!" She avoids the creature's swaps at her.

Redrix gets off his blaster. "Stay with her, Lilly." Lilly barks and stands beside Melody. Melody looks at Redrix's blaster and waves awkwardly. "Umm, hi?" Lilly bends her front legs and looks at Melody. Melody is hesitant about what to do. "Do you want me to mount you?" Lilly nods. Melody mounts Lilly and rubs her neck. "Now what?" Lilly barks and runs around the husks at a safe distance. Melody starts singing to boost everyone's morale.

Hearing his sister's song, Rhythm summons two giant bone hands and punches the husk. "How do we kill it?" Samantha pins the husk's lower body with her spears and stares at Rhythm. "Burn it until nothing is left." Rhythm pins the upper body with his gaster hands. "Then your friend can burn it." Redrix takes a deep breath, and his eyes glow a bright orange. "Then take cover." He turns the fire pillar into fiery spears and increases their temperature greatly. "Hopefully, this would be enough." He snaps his fingers, and the spears penetrate the husk.

Melody tugs on Lilly's fur to have her stop. "Is it over -" She and Lilly teleport to a cliffside with her brother and the two strangers there. "Where are we?" Rhythm feels a bit disoriented and moves Redrix's hot hand off his shoulder. "Why did you take us here? Why didn't you take that thing out?" Redrix falls to his knees and struggles to breathe for a bit. "Ignite..." A gargantuan blue fiery pillar appears on the horizon as Redrix takes his jacket, hat, and bandana off.

Samantha takes a large water bottle from Redrix's bag and pours it on him. "You used too much heat." Redrix chuckles and steam comes out of his body. "At least, that thing is dead." He looks at Rhythm. "That's your answer, kid. That amount of fire would have killed you and your friend." Melody gets off Lilly and notices Rhythm's clenched fists. "Thank you for saving me earlier. But I have a question." Samantha looks at Melody. "What is it?" Melody stares at Samantha. "Who are you two?" Redrix sits up. "I'm Redrix, a human who can use magic." Samantha gives the rest of the bottle to Redrix after he cold off. "I'm Samantha, a demoness and a resident of this universe." Lilly walks to her owner and nuzzles him.

Redrix pats Lilly. "Now, who are you two, kids?" Melody stands beside her brother. "I'm Melody. This is my twin brother, Rhythm." Rhythm opens a portal to some au and grabs his sister's hand. "And we are leaving." Melody looks at her brother. "That's rude, brother." Redrix puts his hat on and gets on his feet. "Your brother is right. You two should leave. It's not safe." Samantha gazes at Redrix. "What do you mean by that?" Redrix pulls one of his revolvers and shoots at the tree line behind him. "What I mean is we aren't alone." He pulls out his other revolver and looks at the tree line.

A goopy skeleton walks out of the trees and spits Redrix's bullet. "You have a good eye. I will give you that." He grins at Melody. "Found you, little songbird." Rhythm steps in front of his sister. "Nightmare, what are you doing here?" Nightmare chuckles. "I'm here for your sister, Rhythm." He raises his tendrils. "Either hand her over or die." Rhythm tightens his grip on Melody's hand. "No." Redrix stomps the ground and a spiky wall appears in Nightmare's way. "I guess that's our cue to leave." He, Samantha, and Lilly follow Rhythm and Melody into the portal after grabbing their stuff. Nightmare breaks the wall and sees Rhythm's portal closes. "You can run but you can't hide." He laughs and disappears into his goop.

After watching the door they came from burn down, Samantha helps Redrix sit on a bench. "I guess there won't be a way to go back." Redrix winces a bit and breaths slowly. "This omega timeline would be a safe place for you to stay in." He looks around to see where Core!Frisk was and couldn't find them. "I guess that child has better stuff to do." He looks at Samantha. "By the way, I didn't catch your name." Samantha finishes healing Redrix's wounds. "Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Samantha but you can call me Sam if you want." She smiles softly.

Redrix smiles back. "Nice to meet you, Samatha." He adjusts himself and cracks his neck “How was life in your home AU?” Samantha looks at the ground. "It was peaceful. Before that bastard came." Redrix pats Samantha's back. "I'm sorry for your loss." Samantha looks away and shifts her sitting position. "Thanks..." Redrix moves his hand away from her. "Say, you want to have a drink?" Samantha rubs her forearm. "No... I will take a walk to clear my mind. See you around and thanks for saving me." She gives him a sad smile as she stands and walks away.

Chara appears beside Redrix. "Giving her space?" Redrix sighs and nods. "She is still grieving. I don't blame her, she lost everyone she cared for." He reaches into his coat's inner pockets and takes a cigar. "She will need time to heal that wound." He smokes it after igniting its tip with his finger. Chara sighs. "Then you should find a bladesmith to fix or reforge your knife." Redrix gets off the bench and lets out a smoke puff. "Okay, I will look for one." He heads into the town in search of a blacksmith.

Chara floats in front of Redrix and looks at him. “Hmm?” Redrix lets another smoke puff and looks at Chara. “What is it?” Chara notices some dark circles under his eyes. “When was the last time you had proper sleep?” Redrix rubs his chin. “Don’t know. Maybe 10 days ago before, our encounter with my lookalike?” He raises a brow. “Why you ask?” Chara floats beside him. “No particular reason.” Grace appears and notices the townsfolk gazes. “Guys, I think we need a private place to talk.” Redrix looks at Grace and then the townsfolk. “We will find an inn after I fix my knife or buy a new one.” He covers his face with his bandana.

After searching for hours, Redrix finds the blacksmith's shop. “Finally, we found it.” He lowers his bandana before entering the shop. “Hello, is there anyone here?” The blacksmith comes out of their workspace. “Oh, a new customer. How may I help you, sugar?” Redrix sees the owner is a strong dark-skinned woman roughly the same height as Samantha. “I seek your help with fixing my knife, madam.” He shows his knife to her. The blacksmith examines the knife and its damage. “Sorry, hun. But your knife is unusable and I can't reforge it since I don't know the metals used for it." She puts it on one of the tables close to her. "I might have something that could fit you, cowboy." Redrix looks at the woman with a raised brow. "How so, madam?" The lady walks to the counter and looks for something among the blades she made. "A strong, reliable, and sharp knife." She pulls a knife a bit bigger than his knife. "This baby is strong and can cut anything with a well-placed strike." She carefully puts it on the counter.

Redrix walks to the lady and checks the knife. "Can it withstand extreme heat?" The lady smirks. "It's forged out of strong metals and enchanted with magic." Redrix unsheaths it and heats it with his fire as its edge turns red hot when his fire becomes blue. "Wow, this is an amazing knife, how much for it?" The lady waits for the knife to cool down before putting it back in its sheath. "230Gs." Redrix reaches into his coat and pulls a bag of Gs from it. "This is your payment, madam." The lady takes the bag and counts the Gs. "All good." Redrix puts the new knife with its sheath on his belt near his old knife’s sheath. "Alright, that's settled. Could you tell me where I could find an inn to stay in?" The lady puts the Gs away and looks at Redrix. "There is one, not far from here. Called the serpent’s rest." Redrix tips his hat. "Thank you, madam." He takes his old knife and heads out of the shop.

Somewhere in the middle of the town, Samantha sits on a bench after her long walk and loosens her jacket belt. “This place looks peaceful.” She looks at the variety of different species and sees kids playing around as a bitter smile forms on her face. "They would love it here." She sighs and checks if she has any money as she finds a few Gs. "This will be enough for either one day's room or my food for today." She looks around and sees an open shop nearby. "I guess I will need to find a way to earn money." She heads to the shop.

The shop owner hears the bell as Samantha enters the shop. "Welcome to my humble shop, miss. How can I help you?" Samantha eases up. "Thanks for the welcome, good sir. I was wondering if there is a hotel nearby." The shopkeeper rubs his chin. "There is a hotel called The Serpent's Rest. It's affordable for newcomers." He takes a paper and writes something. "Here are the directions to the place." Samantha takes the paper and smiles. "Thank you, sir." She leaves the shop and heads to the hotel.

After some time, Redrix and Samantha meet at The Serpent's Rest. Redrix opens the door for Samantha. "Ladies first." Samantha smiles. "What a gentleman." She giggles before entering. Redrix follows behind. "This place looks bigger on the inside." Samantha looks at the hotel's architecture. "It's unique, to say the least." Redrix notices the staff. "I guess I know why they call it The Serpent's Rest." He walks to the front desk and rings the receptionist.

A skeleton naga slithers to the front desk. "Hi, how I may help you today?" Samantha stands beside Redrix. "We would like to book two rooms please." The receptionist checks the record of available rooms. "Unfortunately, the single's section is fully booked, but the couple's section isn't." Redrix glances at Samantha and notices she is a bit uncomfortable. "Do the rooms in the couple's section have separate beds?" The receptionist checks the records again. "Yes, some rooms have separate beds." She shows the keys to the rooms.

Samantha looks at Redrix. "I guess we will be roommates." Redrix rubs neck. "I guess so." The receptionist smiles and hands a contract to the two. "This is a rental agreement for any of the rooms." She gives them two pens. "Please, write your names and your signatures along with which room you are staying in." Redrix takes one of the keys and signs the contract. Samantha signs it and hands it back to the front desk. "Here you go." The receptionist puts it in a file and presses a button. "One of the staff will take you to your room." Another naga slithers in and looks at Redrix and Samantha. "May I see the number?" Redrix does so. "Here." The worker smiles. "Please follow me." He slithers past Samantha and Redrix.

Redrix follows behind the worker. "That's interesting." Samantha follows them. "The place or the people?" Redrix checks his inventory. "All of it. It reminds me of home before it vanished. We... more or less achieved peace between humans and monsters." Samantha strolls beside Redrix. "Oh, what caused it to disappear?" Redrix shrugs. "I don't know. The last thing I remember, before I became like this, was heading to work." Samantha raises a brow. "What do you mean by that?" Redrix scratches his head. "I have no idea how but this lady living in an empty void, somewhat similar to this place, changed me from a skeleton monster to a human with altered monster magic." Samantha notices the scar on Redrix's eye. "That explains the scar." Redrix touches the scar. "I guess so." The worker stops in front of their room. "Here is your room, sir, ma'am. Clean towels are available in the restroom and the closet. Have a good day or night." He leaves the two.

Redrix enters the room after opening it. "Tell me about yourself." Samantha closes the door behind her. "Well, I was a teacher back home before my village was attacked by that bastard. And I'm a demon with angel ancestors." She sits on one of the beds and stretches. "And that's it." Redrix opens his menu and pulls one of his cloth bags from his inventory. "I see. By the way, do you want to shower first?" He looks at Samantha and sees her dumbfounded. "What?" Samantha shakes her head. "How did you do that?" Redrix tilts his head and shows her the menu. "You mean this?" Samantha nods. "Yes." Redrix sits the bag down. "It's a long story but the gist of it is I have 7 human souls somewhat fused with my soul which still is a monster's soul." He sits on the other and takes his hat off. "I don't know how I have a monster's soul in a human body but it feels weird. Either way, the soul that allows me to use the menu is Chara's soul from my universe. She is a helpful woman along with the others." He takes some clothes from the bag. "Anyway, since you didn't answer my first question, I will shower first." He hands her the bag. "Find you something to wear after the shower. Hopefully, there is something that would fit you." He heads to the restroom and showers.

After some time passes, Samantha and Redrix are in their beds. Samantha looks at glances at Redrix. "Thank you for letting me borrow these pajamas." Redrix gives her a thumbs up. "You can keep it as it does not fit me for an obvious reason." He looks at her and Samantha sees his eyes glowing in the dark. "You can have the room as well. Because I will be leaving after I heal up." Samantha sits up. "Why?" Redrix looks at the ceiling. "I'm always on the move. Either way, get some rest" He gives her his back before drifting to sleep. Samantha sighs and gets comfortable in her bed. "Good night, Redrix." She closes her eyes and sleeps.

Appearing in a new AU, Redrix looks around what seems to be an abandoned building. “Well, this doesn’t look creepy.” He forms fireballs around him to light the place. “Hmm, this seems to be a building.” He walks around and finds a door of sorts. “That seems to be the exit.” He approaches the door and opens it before getting blinded by the light outside. “Fuck.” He covers his eyes with his forearm until his eyes adjust. “Wow, this view is amazing.” He sees a big city from atop what seems to be a hill. The fireballs disappear as Redrix leaves the dark building. “Time to explore, but before that, I need to figure out where I am.” He opens the menu to see where he is. “Well, this AU has question marks for a name.” He closes the menu. “Welp, let us see what I will encounter in this world.” He takes off his coat and heads to the city.

Chara appears at a distance from Redrix. "Hmm…" Grace appears beside her. "What's wrong, Chara?" Chara looks at Grace "I worry about Redrix. He's been pushing himself beyond his limits." Grace glares at Redrix. "When's the last time he got some rest?" Chara shrugs. "A few days ago? I honestly don't know. It's hard to keep track of time when we hop from universe to universe but all I know is that he is sleep deprived." The two watch Redrix pass out near a tree. "!!!!" They head to him and hear his snore. Relieved, both Chara and Grace disappear.

A few hours pass as Redrix wakes up and sees his coat beside him. “Hmm. I must've passed out.” He stretches before grabbing his coat and standing up. “Time for more exploration.” Chara appears beside Redrix. “Hey.” Redrix looks at Chara. “Oh, hi. I have been trying to get a hold of you and others.” Chara rubs the back of her head. “Yeah, sorry about that, we didn't want to wake you.” Redrix rubs his chin and walks in the city’s direction. “Hmmm, I thought you guys were tired from all of the AU hopping.” Chara floats beside Redrix. “It isn’t as draining as before but yeah, it's still tiresome.” She watches Redrix as he wears his coat and checks his pockets to see if something is missing.

Redrix finds his pocket watch and looks at the time. "Wow, I must've taken a long nap." He looks at the sky to see its sunset. "Damn." Chara looks at Redrix. "Well, you do stay awake for a couple of days before you sleep.” She opens the menu to see what AU there are in. “Hmm, that’s weird.” Redrix looks at Chara. “What is it?” Chara shows the menu to Redrix. “ It says we are in Underswap.” Redrix raises a brow. “When I checked earlier it only showed question marks.” Chara makes the menu disappear. “Weird. Maybe the info appears after we spend time in said au." Redrix summons his blaster and hops on her. “probably. We need to reach the city before nightfall.” Chara pats Redrix’s blaster and disappears. “Okay.” Redrix hears Chara’s voice in his head and pats his blaster. “Let’s go, girl.” His blaster purrs before bolting to the city.

When Redrix arrived in the city, he found it destroyed with dust and dead bodies lying around. “Whoever did these wanted no survivors.” He hops off his blaster and takes a closer look at one of the bodies as he sees a few stabs on it with the chest slashed and missing the majority of its ribs. “The killer seems to be unstable.” Chara appears with Marcus beside her. “Keep your guard up, Redrix. They might be around.” Marcus floats to a charred body and looks at the other bodies. “These bodies were burned to a crisp. It seems that the killer can use f-.” He, Redrix, and Chara hear a couple of feminine screams. “Did you two hear that?” Redrix runs to the source of the screams with Marcus, Chara, and his blaster following him. When Redrix reached the source, he sees a woman and two young girls cornered by someone in a dark coat covered in bones, dust, and blood. “Hey!!! Leave them be.” The person looks at Redrix over his shoulder and smiles as he scorches the woman and two girls. “Hahaha. Why would I listen to you?” He faces Redrix with an eyepatch on his right eye as a couple of spines with their skulls hanging from his belt and enjoys the painful screams.

Redrix’s eyes widen as he pulls his guns and aims them at the killer. “Who the fuck are you and why do you look like me?” The killer chuckles and snaps his fingers to summon 10 of his blasters. “I am you from a twisted timeline of our home AU.” He walks to the freshly burnt bodies and rips the woman’s rib cage after hacking the woman’s chest with his knife. “You can call me Jason.” He grins and looks at Redrix as the other grits his teeth and backs up. “You are at a disadvantage, pal.” He notices Redrix’s blaster. “Hmm, 10 to 2.” Redrix mutters to himself and sighs before shooting Jason’s blasters with his blaster helping him. Jason takes a cigar from a pocket inside of his coat and lits it before smoking it. “Interesting.” He summons a doze of more blasters and watches Redrix struggle with his blasters before disappearing.

After finishing off the last of Jason’s blasters, Redrix lies on the ground and catches his breath. “Fuck. That was intense.” He sits up to see Jason is nowhere to be found. “Where did he go?” Marcus appears in front of Redrix. “He left shortly after summoning the blasters you defeated.” He sighs and looks around. “How did he manage to kill everyone?” Redrix takes a flask out of the inner pocket of his coat and drinks from it. “Probably, He held everyone in place with either blue or green magic and used his fire magic to burn everything down.” Marcus stares at Redrix. “Can’t we reset the AU?” Chara appears beside Marcus and looks at him. “My reset button is useless in other AUs because our code is different. As Redrix and I tried it before and it didn’t work.” Redrix sighs and stands. “We can’t do anything for them. Only this AU’s Chara or Frisk can reset it.” He walks to his injured blaster and pats her. “Go rest with your brethren, girl.” His blaster whines and disappears as he rubs the back of his head. “Let’s go.” He looks at Chara and Marcus as they disappear and he teleports to another AU.

After appearing In some AU, Redrix looks around before his right eye turns red and checks the menu. “Weird. I can’t access the menu.” Chara appears beside Redrix. “It seems this AU is one of the codeless ones.” Redrix sighs and checks his current belongings. “Well, I have my 8 shot revolver, my new 6 shot revolver that I bought from one of the AUs, where I have beaten some chick in a contest, and my bowie knife.” He checks the ammo of his revolvers. “I know what I did wasn’t necessary but I warned her. So, it’s not our problem now.” Chara crosses her arms and raises a brow. “Really?” Redrix looks at Chara. “What? You can ask Grace. She witnessed the whole thing.” Chara sighs and rubs her temple. "Okay, I see your point. Anyway, we need to explore the place to know where we are. Since there are people who want to kill everything or be a self-proclaimed god." Redrix nods. "At least we met some people who didn't want to harm us." Chara looks at Redrix. "Except for the chick you slept with her. What was her name, Shattered Dia?" Redrix scratches his cheek and walks around. "Something along those lines. But I get your point. It was a weird intimate moment." Chara rolls her eyes and follows Redrix. "Suuuure, keep telling that to yourself." She disappears when Redrix reaches a cliffside.

Redrix surveys the land below. “Hmm… Evelyn, can you help me with making a spyglass?” A female purple ghost appears beside Redrix. “Of course, I will.” Redrix’s right eye glows purple and a spyglass with the same color manifests in his hand. “Thanks, Evelyn.” Evelyn smiles at Redrix. “You’re welcome, Redrix.” Redrix looks at the land below through the spyglass. “Hmm, interesting. There is a pond and a cabin down there.” He notices a house appear near the pond. “What the hell?” Evelyn tilts her head. “What’s wrong, Redrix?” Redrix hands the spyglass to Evelyn. “Look at the house near the pond.” Evelyn looks at the house. “I don’t see anything unusual with it other than its design is different compared to the cabin.” Redrix looks at Evelyn. “Because it just appeared. I think its residents are like us, without an AU to return to.” Evelyn makes the spyglass disappear and looks at Redrix. “Let’s check it out.” Redrix looks over the cliff. “I’m planning to do so.” He takes a few steps back before running and leaping off the cliff then landing on top of his blaster and heading to the unknown house.

Meanwhile, in the house, a robot looks at a small skeleton standing in front of the front door. “Be careful out there, Abyss. We don’t know what’s out there.” Abyss looks at the robot. “I will be careful, Mettaton. Hopefully, nothing would happen” Mettaton watches Abyss walk out of the house. “I hope so.” A humanoid female lizard in a dress and a lab coat walks into the living room. “Did Abyss go out?” Mettaton looks at the lizard lady. “He just left, Alphys.” Alphys sighs and walks to the sofa to rest on it. “The teleporter is on a cooldown before another jump.” Mettaton rests beside Alphys and summons his guitar to do some string adjustments. “Good. The faster the machine cools down, the faster we get out of here.” After the string adjustment, he plays some of Alphys’s favorite tunes to help her.

Sitting near the pond, Abyss opens his multiverse book and browses the pages alphabetically. He stops at the people who start with the letter R. “Hmm.” He sees a page of a human sans and reads his name. “Redrix. He’s new.” He reads what's written about this Redrix person in the book. “He seems like any other sans, ability-wise. I wonder how he became a human despite the book mentioning he is a sans and his real name is RevolverTale Sans.” He looks at the end of the page and sees the text. “A copy? What does it mean by that?” He flips to another page to see if there is any info about him. “There’s nothing more about him.” He closes the book and sighs. “I guess that will be one of the multiverse’s mysteries.” He stands and heads to the house when he sees something coming his way. "What is that?" A figure on a blaster approaches Abyss and hops off the blaster. "Hello, there." Abyss looks at the person in front of him. "Hi. Who are you?" The person tips his hat. "I'm Redrix. May I ask what's your name, little man?" Abyss gets a bit irritated after being called a little man. "The name is Abyss. And don't call me little." Redrix sees Abyss. "Oh, apologies. I didn't mean to offend you, Abyss." Abyss recognizes Redrix from his book. "What are you doing here, Redrix?" Redrix shrugs. "I guess the same as you and your folks. I don't know what this AU is about, since I can't access the menu to see where I am." Abyss raises a metaphorical brow. "What do you mean by that?" Redrix rests his hands on his waist. "This AU seems to be codeless. Just like the ones I went through." He pats his blaster. "Tho we need to go inside the cabin in case someone is watching" Abyss doesn't feel sure about the situation at hand and takes a deep breath. "That’s true. We don’t know what’s out there." Redrix nods and walks to the cabin. "Hopefully, the door is not locked." He checks the front door of the cabin and it’s open. “Good, it’s open.” He goes inside with Abyss behind him.

Once inside, Abyss sits on a chair. “So, who did come you here?” Redrix sits on a chair opposite to Abyss. “I came here by chance. Since my AU teleporting ability is new to me.” Abyss rubs his chin. “Hmm, you said you couldn’t access your menu. How do you do that?” Redrix takes his bowie knife and carves a piece of wood with it. “With the help of my AU’s Chara.” He looks at Abyss and yawns “I will need to rest for a bit before my next jump. You should go back to your folks, Abyss.” He holsters his knife and puts the carved wood to the side. “They might be waiting for you before they jump with the house.” Abyss gets off the chair. “I will look around before I go back.” Redrix covers his face with his hat and sinks into the chair. “Do whatever you want.” Abyss leaves the cabin to let Redrix nap and explores the area around the house and cabin.

Alphys comes out of the lab after checking the teleporter and goes to the living room. "Mettaton, the teleporter will be ready in a few hours." Mettaton looks at Alphys. "Good, we just need Abyss to come back." Alphys sits next to Mettaton. "Do you think there are others in this place?" Mettaton shrugs. "I don't know. Let's keep our guard up just in case something happens." He puts his guitar near the sofa. "You should rest, Alphys. Teleporting from one AU to another is taking a toll on you." Alphys yawns. "Yeah, I think I will take a short nap until the machine is ready." Mettaton pats Alphys shoulder. "I will wake you up when that happens." He watches Alphys go to her room and grab his guitar before going to his room.

After a couple of hours, Redrix walks out of the cabin and stretches as he sees his blaster playing with Abyss. "It's been a while since my girl had fun." Evelyn appears next to Redrix. "She seems happy." Redrix nods after cracking his neck. "At least she is enjoying herself." He whistles and his blaster comes to him. "Having fun, girl?" The blaster purrs as Redrix scratches her. Redrix kisses his blaster and rubs her jaws. "We will need to go soon" Evelyn pats Redrix's blaster. "She looks a bit different." Redrix makes his blaster disappear and looks at Evelyn. "I noticed that as well. But it doesn't matter right now." He looks at Abyss as his friends call him. "It seems his friends are ready to leave." He walks to Abyss and offers his hand to him. "Your folks are waiting for you. It was nice meeting you, Abyss." Abyss looks at Redrix and shakes his hand. "It was nice meeting you as well, Redrix. I will have to leave." Redrix lets go of Abyss's hand and watch him go to his friends. "Time to go." He teleports to another AU the moment Abyss's house disappeared.
