Absolutely in love with your work. I really like that it separates it self from the countless other super hero IFs out there where super powers are common place. It does a great job of giving your character a sense of aura. So two questions

In the Redfern POV in the beginning of chapter 2, they fix their hair and say something along the lines of “it’s not like he’ll notice”. Does this refer to the MC as I’m unsure. It means redfern has a bit of a crush on MC or at least quite a bit of attraction. I’m a little confused about what Redferns feelings are towards the MC currently.

Why is everyone calling MC “H” ? Did I miss something?

Not me typing out a response to question one with H this and H that, and then seeing your second question lmao

“H” is short for “Hero”, and it’s mainly how I prefer to refer to the MC. It’s what I originally called them in my notes, just to give them a bit more character :)

I’ll be adding that info to the blog description when I give it an overhaul, as well.

Back to question one, though…

H is attractive, no denying that. But, most importantly, they’re a “blank slate” (and not just from a meta perspective lol). TR doesn’t really get the opportunity to socialise with many other people—due to their station, but also their general disposition—and all of RF South have one thing or another which doesn’t make them a match for the redhead.

H, being the new person, could potentially be a match—friend…or otherwise. And, obviously, they’re a looker on top of that potential.

Also, lmfao—“TR” is another way to refer to Redfern. Though I think that’s more intuitive. Hopefully.

To your first point—I was honestly so surprised there wasn’t more superhero stories with only the MC being powered! (Published, mainly—I haven’t checked many WiPs!). It felt like such an obvious fantasy to explore.

It was probably my main inspiration.

Here is a picture of Redfern, recently bought by Sir William Cooper, for Australia. He was a horse of great class as a two-year-old in England, and he had some terrific sets to with another horse of the same age, Let Fly. These two were at the very top of last year's two- year-old form in England, along with Friar Marcus, the King's colt. The latter, unfortunately, did not develop the ability to stay more than six furlongs, and was unplaced in the Two Thousand Guineas, and if he was amongst the starters, he was also behind in the Derby, run for at Newmarket, on this occasion. Let Fly, also, has not trained on as he might have done. But there is no reason whatsoever why Redfern should not have done so. He is a fine, upstanding fellow, according to his picture, is he not? A masculine chap, I think. Looks as though he might be all the better for a bit of time, and perhaps he is a trifle light over the loins. He is standing with his hocks a bit away from him, and I always love them best with the straight drop of the hind leg, with corresponding straight, strong hocks. But it is a matter of opinion and taste ... I should say that this Redfern was quite as high class a horse, indeed quite probably a higher class horse, than Land of Song. Do you notice, in the picture, anything peculiar about Redfern's off fore foot? I fancy that, in the photograph, the two feet are distinctly of different shape. Anyhow, taking him all round, this good horse will make up into a fine type of stallion, and he is beautifully bred
