Red Jasper

Only available in my 8mm round beaded jewelry; I don’t carry the chips. Red Jasper is red because of its iron inclusions but not all jasper is red.

Believed that when worn by women it enhances their beauty.

The iron in the stone is associated with grounding powers. It is also believed to balance the root chakra. The root chakra is believed to become blocked by fear or trauma, and sometimes even excessive stress.

Because of its connection to the root chakra, red jasper is thought to help with giving one courage or helping with endurance or strength. It’s also believed to help with feeling detached or vulnerable and could even help with anxiety for the same reason.

Place a chunk of red jasper on the root chakra (tailbone/base of spine, I sit on it but mine is a worry stone) and meditate on stability and balance. However, some find the energy from red jasper too ‘heavy’, which can make it difficult to meditate effectively.

Example meditation:

Sit on the floor or on the ground; visualize strong and thick roots growing from your base into the earth, giving you a really sturdy foundation. Then see your body (trunk) as the trunk of the tree. Then visualize branches and leaves growing out into the sky and moving with the wind, letting go of any stress and frustrations.
