1/2-(4 miles & core) I didn’t sleep well and I didn’t even want to go to the gym, but I did anyway. I ate a rice cake with yogurt, cereal, cinnamon & dark chocolate chips before the gym because I didn’t know what to eat and I was rushing. Started with a half mile walking warmup. Like I said my back is still sore so I didn’t want to aggravate it. I ran three slower miles at 9:25 pace and my back felt okay. It bothers me when I sit. Who knows I clearly activated it when I was doing pull ups the other day (or attempting to). Then I did did core for 20 minutes and then I ended up running another mile with strides, before walking another half mile, stretching & foam rolling. I planned to swim, but I forgot how crowded the pool is on Wednesday’s so I wasn’t able to. I’m planning to tomorrow because I think it will help my back. Anyway at least I went. I just need to get back into some sort of routine. Tbh I think if I’m going to train for this marathon I need to ease back into it like I did after my injury last winter. I used to walk before and after every run and speed work was something I really eased into. So I think that may be my plan of action.
Lunch was scrambled eggs & oatmeal with pomegranate seeds & berries. Then I spent most of the afternoon organizing, emailing my sorority advisor, getting my life together and getting ready to go downtown.
We took the train downtown and met my dads then we had dinner was at this restaurant. We had margarita pizza & chopped salad with chicken. The salad was so so good! Then we saw fiddler on the roof and it was really fun:) I went with my parents and my friend because I knew she wanted to see it. The second half was lowkey sad but it was still good! Then we drove back and that’s it!
Thankful for musicals & friends
