I remember; It was Izzy, Axl, Steven and I walking around Hollywood and we started singing Nighttrain and came up with the chorus. We put the song together in a couple of days and it became the war cry for the band. Nighttrain is immortalized by the actual song, but at the time the song was written, that’s all we could afford to drink. We’d get bottles of Nighttrain with the few pennies we had and go carousing Hollywood and the Strip. It became a way of life for the band during that period.
