some slow pieces will probably keep you from getting too distracted! my favorite recommendations (in no particular order) i’ve labeled first tier btw lol, in case you only want to listen to a little and get a feel for it <3

first tier:

Any of Chopin’s nocturnes will do (here’s a good playlist i’ve enjoyed that will prob work for a long study sess: https://youtu.be/-gDinVAmtA0) My fav slow Chopin nocturnes are prob as follows, in no particular ranking (in case you just want to search them up instead of listening to the whole playlist):

-Nocturne in E Flat Major Op. 9 No. 2 (you have most likely heard this one before) -Nocturne in A Flat Major Op. 32 No. 2 -Nocturne in G Minor Lento No. 3 Op. 15 -Nocturne in C Minor Lento No. 1 Op. 48

Concertos distract me lol bc I get too into it. But they won’t bore you, and violin concertos are not usually as loud as piano concertos. Hilary Hahn is a goddess. Since they’re like half an hour each, they’re good if you just want to put on something and not get distracted changing the music.

Bach’s Inventions are all slow and very simple (they’re used for teaching technique to beginner/intermediate students).
