i’m rewatching the hug scene, and whereas at first I was squeeing because of how cute it is, now it’s just tragic because
1. Cha-young obviously knows she likes him, and I think she was using the fact that she was tipsy as a cover to hug him.
2. She gave him ample time to kiss her if he wanted too, and he didn’t and you can see in her face/eyes when she realizes that he won’t, so
3. She backtracked saying maybe she was mistaken.
The tragedy is that Vincenzo likes her too and had to hold on to the chair back to prevent himself from hugging her back.
Cha-young IS very bold however I don’t think she’s gonna up and kiss a guy she likes just like that. I see her as an awkward, ‘ugly’ duckling (sorry!! i hate that phrase!) as a teen, who was a late bloomer into a swan, and she probably may still feel insecure.
For them to kiss, Vincenzo has to make a move/show he’s interested.
Look at that. No eye contact on Vincenzo’s part, and he’s looking away/moving his head back, while she’s literally right there in his face.
They’re both tipsy, it’s late at night (well, early in the morning).
When she says ‘ah, I was wrong’, I think she means it like ‘I was wrong thinking there was something reciprocated between us’
(I can go on and on about this scene, so lemme stop here lol)
