“Grayson!” Darren’s voice booms through the night at them and Dick turns to see the ringmaster stepping out of the backstage tent, “You were in the middle of a fucking show. You can’t just walk off when you feel like it!”
He turns back to Rachel and cups her cheek gently in one hand, “I need you to go find Gar, okay? Stay with him until Kory or I come get you.”
She nods, eyes darting to Darren, “What about you?”
He releases her from his arms and gives her a nudge to get her moving. Dick keeps an eye on her, making sure she’s away and can’t hear or see him before he turns on his heel to face Darren, they’re both steaming with anger, but Dick doesn’t give a shit about Darren’s ego right now.
“Grayson, I’m talking to you.” Darren spits out.
Dick sighs, fingers curling into a fist and then he strikes. His fist hits Darren straight in the jaw and the force of the blow causes him to stumble, back hitting the mud.
