Some reminders/affirmations I need to take with me into 2026:
Accept the things you cannot change (even if you could've changed it if only you were mentally/physically healthy).
You cannot do all the good that the world needs, but the world needs all the good that you can do.
No one wants to live through difficult times but it is up to you to make something of the circumstances that have been given to you.
It may feel like you need to follow the news, trends, or memes to participate in small talk but what is that big act really bringing you? Use your free time on things that matter to you and let others tell you about their latest doomscroll if they don't have anything else to talk about.
You don't need to have an opinion about everything.
Admitting you don't know enough about a subject is good actually.
Don't waste your time arguing with self-proclaimed centrists and devil's advocates, wanting to uphold the unjust status quo is already a choice called conservatism (be vocal in other ways, every bit helps in preventing or undoing propaganda).
Remember to not feed the trolls, arguing with them just gives them more attention and feeds into their narrative. Leave your own comment if you like to offset theirs and ignore, block, and/or report.
The ones profiting from exploitation want you numb and complacent. As long as you stay alive and stay loud this too shall pass.
The past is set in stone and the future hypothetical so do in the present that which contributes to a better future (that includes taking care of yourself so you may have the capacity to do more good someday).
Had a shitty day, week, month, year, or more in your personal life? That's totally fine, you can start an upward spiral right now, or now, and now, even now!
