I rly think real love is so rare and basically pointless to hope for sometimes bc people just love you for whatever they want you to be like whatever role they want you to fill in their lives and thats how they see you and y ou cant do anything about it. and if you stray from that image it breaks the illusion and suddenly they dont care for you that much after all -_- and they dont even realise that theyre doing this

I really should've known going into the Marriage Story tag on this hell hole was a mistake but I just really wanted gifs. I really did. Instead all I'm seeing is:

1) People hating on Scarlett because no one in this fucking place seems to be able to separate art from artist. If you even dare think that she gave a "bad" performance in this movie you don't deserve to have an opinion about anything. Ever. This is hands down an outstanding performance by Scarlett and that's not even up for debate.

2) People trying to hate on the movie because it's based on Noah's life, real life divorce, and supposed affair as if that has ANYTHING to do with how good the movie is or isn't. As if you, random person on the internet, actually knows the details about anything that happens in the life of some fifth tier celebrity. It's not even like these are hot stories. Noah Baumbach's affairs aren't making the fucking cover of US Weekly every other edition. No one in the general public gives a fuck who Random White Director #76 is sleeping with so I can guarantee you you don't have all of the facts, if any at all.

3) People trying to turn this into the most inane "social justice" discourse. Some of y'all really have no working brains and don't deserve internet connection. Way to miss THE ENTIRE point of the movie by a few thousand miles.
