Posted @withregram • @oprahsbookclub Orchard House in Concord, Massachusetts (@alcotts_orchard_house), is where beloved author Louisa May Alcott wrote “Little Women,” inspired by her experience growing up in the house with her sisters.⁠ ⁠ Today, Orchard House is a museum dedicated to Alcott and her family. 80% of the Alcotts’ original furniture remains in the home, including the desk where “Little Women” was written. The study where Alcott’s father greeted guests like Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau is also lovingly preserved.⁠ ⁠ Orchard House's grounds and gardens are currently open to visitors, and the interior of the house will re-open this August.
