Stumbled upon @nbsalert's #ReadOutLoudChallenge on Twitter today and decided I want to help them build 100 school libraries by posting this video of myself reading one of my favorite passages from This Is How You Lose Her by Junot Díaz. I wish I articulated it better in the video but I'm not so used to speaking in front of the camera by myself so I hope this awkward one will suffice. I nominate my friends @idkjustine @patriziastarr and @fur.ancielle to take up the challenge and of course YOU, person who just watched this. National Book Store needs more videos to reach their goal and of course, students are patiently waiting for their libraries to be built. In this fast paced world of the 21st century where most of us can do so much with social media, I hope we use them in ways that can benefit the less privileged instead of spreading fake news articles or being internet trolls. Still kinda sad that in Paper Towns movie, Margo and Q didn't break into Sea World. (Or should I say, visit for free). So here's my entry for the @nbsalert #ReadOutLoudChallenge. So a friend nominated me to join @nbsalert 's #ReadOutLoudChallenge where public schools (especially ones in far flung areas) in the Philippines get to have a library of their own with every set of 75 videos uploaded online complete with racks filled with DepEd approved books. I love books. I love reading. And I believe that with every book read, a child develops not only his knowledge, but his understanding of how the world works and what he can do to make a change big or small. I'm reading my all-time favorite book, Erin Morgenstern's 'The Night Circus' So I nominate @thestephenpedroza @thynameis_jef @_garie to do the challenge 😁
