The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi pure bloods have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals--well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures.Seventeen-year-old Alexandria will have to choose between love and duty, but this will not be her only challenge . There is need. And there is fate...When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone. History is on repeat, and things didn't go so well the last time.
Those left standing will discover if love is truly greater than Fate...
Another exceptional series from J. A. All characters are well developed with interesting personalities but I can say that is one of the few Series that I totally dislike the main protagonist, but that's my personal view. In general I loved this Series because it has to do with Greek mythology and as a Greek myself you can understand why. J. A put something new in classic mythologyits and made it different from anything else, just as she always does. In this story, except from Gods vampire like demonds, wrong have forbidden love, a lot of sacrifices, a lot of Death and lots of Tears, as well as action and fighting. In the end you will definitely cry for and least one of the characters if not more of them. In my opinion the first books explore the topic of losing someone as well as how can someone change for better, witch in my opinion helps the readers to solve their own problems. All in all, it is an amazing series that took me less that a month to finish, so you understand how much I enjoyed it. Go and pick it! It totally deserves your time!!
