I’ve been reading so many books lately and it honestly feels great. Like I haven’t read like this since I started college and I’m honestly impressed with myself. I’ve been lucky that most of my classes are finished so I’m less busy now. Like I actually finished three books since Thanksgiving, one of which was an ARC from BOtM
Number 15 “The Hellbound Heart” by Clive Barker though most of you may know it by it’s movie title, “Hellraiser.” There were some differences between the book and the film but nothing too crazy, oh except I’m pretty sure Pinhead was a chick and not really in charge. I’m not mad that they switched it up for the film because Doug Bradley was legendary! If you are looking for a dark read this will do just fine.

Number 11 “Dreamseller: An Addiction Memoir” by Brandon Novak w/ Joe Frantz
This book takes an unfiltered look at the highs and lows of one mans struggle with heroin addiction. Though not every addiction story has a happy ending, eventually (fortunately) this one did. Brandon Novak is now a certified interventionist w/ over 4 years of sobriety under his belt!
First book finished for 2020. This was a book I felt I needed to read as it is considered a classic, however my advise would be to anyone thinking of reading it not to bother. It is so boring and repetetive due to the nature of the journal writing style and I really had to force myself to keep going with it. The story can be summed up in about 10 pages but dragged on for 389 pages that, someone aptly, drained the life out of me.
