I am currently reading #Cain by #JoseSaramago. This book reaffirms in the most mature way I have ever witnessed, just how nonsensical #Religion actually is. He does it in such a way as to prove his point by poking fun, while not being on a high horse about it, but just by simply pointing out facts, so elegantly that you'd barely notice he's offering huge blows to the #Christian paradigm. Though this novel is referring to the #StoryOfCain, it can be applied to any human religion, as human religions are simply that...human made stories to make the little flesh bodies we all are feel better about the fact that we're in a giant Universe, mostly not having any idea of what's out there. I'm a #RecoveringCatholic. It's not as bad as it was years ago, but I still get triggered every so often by certain words or sights. Thankfully, psychedelics exist, or I'd probably still be going to Church and giving them money so they can continue to go around the planet and force feed humans their own beliefs. Through psychedelics I found my own path to spirituality though, and I am forever thankful for this. We humans are spiritual entities, but often we lust for something that just simply isn't there, and most of the time it's because our parents were taught that way, their parents taught the same way, and so on. Now is the time to break this pattern of nonsense! The death and destruction caused by humanities lust for religion must end! If we are ever to travel the stars, we must be one with each other as The Human Race... Whether you're religious, recovering from religion, an atheist, or spiritual, I highly recommend this book.
