Like he’s been obsessing over her for months (same applies to her) and he has yet to ask her out but is too shy, and whilst in an interview with the cast of the avengers, the interviewer introduces reader to tom and they both get super shy and everyone teases them? Pairing: Tom Holland X Reader

Warning: None that I can think of really. Just some cursing and good old fashion sitcom embarrassment.

Summary: The one with Jill Goodacre. If you get that, I love you forever. Basically, the ever so famous Tom Holland is trapped in an ATM vestibule with the ever so awkward Y/N.

You walk into the vestibule, ready to deposit your check from work. You were tired and wanted to go home as quickly as you could so you almost didn’t see the man that you may or may not have ran into. Either way, You muttered an apology and went to the ATM to deposit.

As soon as it cleared, you went to walk out the doors, only to be stopped by the door not opening. You tried pushing and pulling. Only for it to be your nightmare. Trapped in an ATM vestibule in the freezing cold night of London when you could be in bed watching reruns of F.R.I.E.N.D.S with your best friend.

You pull out your phone only for it to not turn on at all. You muttered explicit words under your breath. You just wanted Chandler’s sarcasm to help amuse you through this.

“Well, what happened?” A familiar British voice spoke. You turn to see Tom Holland standing there in a flannel, black skinny jeans, and a coat that looked two sizes too big on him. He was questioning the locking of the doors.

“Hey,” you squeaked, naturally. Your cheeks started to burn as he looked at you quizzically. “I..uh...really want to go home, so if you could just tell me what’s going on, that’d be great.”

He brushed the confusion off his face and answered you, “Uh, my mate, Harrison, said it was a city-wide blackout, something wrong with the towers.”

“Fuck,” you groan. “Do you mind if I borrow your phone, I have to make a call.”

He gives you an odd look. It’s rightfully called for since he is a celebrity and the both of you are stuck in one room together. It might give off the wrong impression, or he could think you’re trying to find some information on his phone.

“Listen, I just need to call (Y/B/F/N) to tell her not to worry about me if I don’t come home in the next ten minutes, you can watch me dial if you’d like. My phone’s dead,” You hold up your phone to show. Tom, reluctantly, agrees and hangs up on Harrison. He hands you the phone and walks a bit away to give you some privacy.

“Hello?” (Y/B/F/N) chirped.

“Hey, it’s (Y/N),” You bite your lip hoping that she wouldn’t question the number. “Anyway, I wanted to tell you that I’m going to be late. I’m stuck in an ATM Vestibule.”

“With who, who’s phone are you using, what happened to yours?” she fired questions at you.

“Phone died, and no I can’t tell you who’s phone it is, that is just creepy,” you mutter. Tom looks over and you flash a pained smile, hoping that he isn’t seeing you slowly freak out over what’s happening at the moment.

I mean, what are the odds that you are stuck with your celebrity crush since God knows how long. And it’ll be a couple hours before you could even get out if you even wanted to do it.

“Are you okay?” your friend asks. You nod, stupidly. And yes, Tom did catch it and smiled a bit.

“Uh, yeah, just a bit chilly, but I’ll be fine,” you said quickly.

“Okay, let me know, I’ll try to send a firefighter or someone to help you, but Jacki says that people are calling the police like crazy,” she rambled.

You nod, again. “Yeah, I have to give him his phone back, bye.”

You heard a faint, “HE!?” before you clicked the end button.

“Thanks,” you hand him his phone back. He gives back a warm smile while reaching out for the phone. As soon as he grabbed it, you turned to go back to ‘your’ side of the vestibule, not making contact with him for half an hour.

“Do you want some gum?” he offered you. You just stared at his hand, in shock until he pulled his hand away awkwardly.

“Oh, God! Sorry, yes, um gum would be perfection,” you chuckle nervously. Gum is perfection, what the fuck (Y/N)? Tom either didn’t notice or didn’t want to embarrass you further, so he handed you a peace.

You tried blowing a bubble with it, out of habit, but it was a small peace so you barely got anything out, but Tom noticed and he let out a deep chuckle.

“You’re gonna need more than one piece for that,” he points to the sad bubble hanging out of your mouth. You quickly swipe it back in your mouth, only to swallow it and start hacking a lung out.

Tom rushed to your side with a look of concern. He pats and rubs your back as you continue to die. At least I can die in your arms, you thought dreamily and mostly sarcastically. People want to meet their celebrity crushes in beautiful ways, but coughing up a lung seemed like a close second in the Universe’s plans for you.

“You okay, love?” Tom asks as soon as you regulate your breathing. You nodded, knowing if you spoke, your voice would come out hoarsed.

“Good, because I do not to what I would do if you were actually choking,” he admits. You raise an eyebrow but look away with a smile and a head shake. “I’m being serious, I’d probably die myself before you’d choke.” That got a rough laugh out of you.

“Sorry, I’m much cuter than this is the real world,” you joke. He smiles.

“Real world?”

“Yeah, this shit can’t be real, I feel like I’m in a dream,” you say.

“Am I in the presence of a fan?” he jokes.

“I don’t know, am I in the presence of Spider-Man?” you kid back.

“Yes.”

“Then, yes.”

You both fall into a comfortable silence. Just you studying his features. The cameras could never do him justice. He is exceptionally handsome with his rugged boyish looks. He would look like one of your neighbors or a boy you go to uni with on a daily. A person that could blend in, but you couldn’t miss him at the same time.

“If you’re going to stare, you might as well give me your name, darling,” Tom pulls off a cheeky smile. You roll your eyes despite being embarrassed that you got caught staring and your cheeks becoming inflamed.

“It’s (Y/N),” you respond.

“I’m Tom,” he says, holding out a hand. You take it and shake it, laughing.

“I know, I’m your number one stalker,” you wink at him.

“Really?” he feigns the look of surprise. “You know I have always wanted to meet my number one stalker, but I’ve got to admit, you’re more clumsy than I would have expected.”

You act offended and back away, “I am so not clu-” but of course your life is a sitcom, and you hand to trip, making Tom reach out to grab you only for you to drag him down on top of you.

“So, maybe I’m a little clumsy,” you groan breathlessly. Tom lets out another chuckle and proceeds to get off of you. “I guess I’m the Emma to your Andrew.”

“What?” he scoots next to you.

“In Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter, Andrew, didn’t catch Gwen, Emma, henceforth, you didn’t catch me from falling,” you explained to him.

“In my defense, you were practically on the ground already when you decided to grab my arm and yank me down on top of you,” your body felt like it was on fire from his words. How bothered could one person make you? Tom wanted to find out.

“Fine, I will give you that, but I am not just clumsy,” you childishly argue.

“Okay then, tell me three things about you,” He said,

“I’m (Y/N), I am not just clumsy, but I binge watch T.V. shows like I get paid to do it, I procrastinate like no tomorrow, and I manage to turn into a tomato any time a cute person lays their eyes on me,” your ears turned red at the last statement.

“I’m Tom, puppies are my kryptonite, I secretly like to listen to Celine Cion on repeat, and I like making cute people turn into a tomato,” he slyly flirts, which of course makes you turn red.

“You’re a wanker,” you laugh, trying to hide your red face. He just laughs. 

A phone ringing, more specifically his, makes whatever laughter was left, disappear.

“Yeah?” Tom answers the phone, getting up from his spot. You get up too and wipe imaginary dirt off your pants. “Okay, see you in a bit.”

“Harrison?” you questioned.

“Yeah, he said we should be able to leave now, the power is slowly coming back on in quadrants and ours is on,” Tom answers. You nod, but neither move. 

“I want to admit I had fun, despite embarrassing myself numerous times,” you say genuinely. 

Tom nods in agreement and moves closer towards you, “You wanna take a picture?”

“Phone’s dead,” you hold up your phone again.

“Just give me your insta, and I’ll send it to you,” he reasons. You nod, slowly.

“You’re not going to be my stalker, now are you?” you kid.

He smiles, “Of course, I wanna be like you, but with less of the falling and choking.” You shake your head and stand next to him while he takes out his phone.

“Ready?” You nod. 

You had the idea to turn and kiss his cheek at the last minute, but guess who had the same idea? You both ended up sharing a kiss that was caught by the camera. You pull away, blushing like a mad woman. A shy smile graces his face.

“Sorry,” he mumbles. 

“It’s fine, but I have to get going, make sure that you send it to me,” you give him your Instagram account name. 

“Promise,” he says watching you walk to the doors. However, he stops you. “Here take my coat, it’s too cold for you.”

“I can’t,” you try to shrug it off, but he zips it up. 

“I’ll text you if I want it back, it’ll give me an excuse to see you again.”

With that, you both head in opposite directions out of the ATM Vestibule. Both of you walk into your flats and face your best friends. Only to say.

Its pretty rusty and not that great. Doesnt really have a story or anything or even make that much sense really but im warming up here so bare with me here...

“Hey love!”

The door to your apartment swings open quickly and you look up from your spot on the couch. You watch as Tom comes stumbling in, all sweaty from his run.

He was wearing a baggy grey sweatshirt and had the sleeves pushed almost all the way up his arms.

“Im back, finally...” he mumbles as he swings the door back shut and throws his keys and ipod onto the little table by the door.

“Hey.” You reply casually, “ you have a good run?” You ask before slowly turning back to catch the last few moments of your current Netflix binge. You aren’t paying much attention but you hear him mumble, “Yeah.” as he lets out a deep breath.

You hum in acknowledgement and pull your blanket closer, focusing back in on the television.

In the background you can hear Tom make his way into the kitchen and start rustling around in the pantry. He’s always starving after his runs, you think, and give out a small chuckle before settling deeper into the couch.

Your show ends a few minutes later. You stand and stretch, reaching your arms to the ceiling. It was almost 9pm, you noted to yourself looking at the little digital clock on the cable box.

Tom had left for his run almost 2 hours ago, which meant he must have ended up walking most of the way. It normally only took him 1 hour.

“Feeling lazy today?” You joked loudly towards the kitchen doorway. After a few seconds with no reply, you turn to head into the kitchen. You could hear Tom in there banging with the pots and pans. Was he trying to cook?

As you turn the corner to the kitchen you could see that Tom was crouching in front of the cabinet that held the pans. His back was to you.

He had taken off his sweatshirt and was now wearing just a plain blue tee that he had worn underneath it.

You watched as he moved around the pans in search of something. He was making an awful lot of noise.

“What are you doing?” you spoke loudly trying to distinguish yourself from the metal clattering.

As you spoke he startled and jumped, turning his head around to look at you.

“Oh my god y/n! You scared me half to death,” he breathed out, “my lord!” He very dramatically put his hand to his chest as if to check his heart. The goofball.

“What are you looking for?” You asked, ignoring his dramatics.

“Well,” he stood, closing the cabinet doors and turning towards you with a furrow in his brow.

“I thought for sure I had left my phone down there but apparently not.” Huffing he crossed his arms and pouted. Still, looking around at the kitchen as if he could maybe magically spot the missing phone, before continuing “I remember putting it down but for the life of me I cant remember where!” He threw his arms up in exasperation.

He was still all sweaty from his run which only added to him looking just completely distraught about losing his phone.

Typical Tom, you thought, always losing things.

“Well do you remember when you last had it?” You asked trying to be helpful.

“I think before going on my run...” he looked around once more, “maybe.”

“You literally are always losing your phone Tom.” You sighed and came over to lean up against the counter next to him. He leaned closer to you pressing his shoulder to yours.

“I know!” He whined, “I dont know how this always happens to me y/n!”

He turned with his arms still crossed and put his forehead on your shoulder. “Im a bloody idiot.” He mumbled, and uncrossed his arms to wrap them around your waist.

“Help meee.” Tom begged as he squeezed you closer and nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck.

You sighed and wrapped an arm around his back. Tom was always so dramatic and clingy when he lost things.

You knew from past experience that the phone would most likely be found in some odd and random place within the next day or two so you really were not as worried about it as Tom. But until it was found you knew you would be left with a whiny Tom who would not stop thinking about whatever he had done with his darn phone.

It would be a long few days.

You sighed again and pulled yourself from his arms. You had an idea.

“Nooo” he whined, “I need you. Im sad.” He reached out for a hug. You grabbed his hands and swung your arms with his, deflecting his hug attempts. He pouted.

“It will show up eventually Tom.” You lean in and kiss his nose quickly before turning towards the fridge behind you. “Until then...” you drag out your words as you reach your arm out to pull open the fridge. You know exactly what will cheer him up.

You grab a small white cardboard box from the top shelf. Inside held a half eaten cake that had been bought to celebrate Toms new movie. Turning back to face him with the box in your hands you ask, in the most posh voice you could come up with, “Would you like some cake for these trying times?”

His smile is instant.

I knew it, you thought. Food is always the key to this boys heart.

He reaches out to take the box from you and says in an equally as haughty tone, “Why yes ma’am, I think I would.”

Tom takes the box in one hand and pretends to lift his imaginary top hat with the other. His search for his phone has been put aside for now.

“You goof” you giggle. Tom just smiles back and turns to the counter to set down the cake box. He reaches into the top cabinets to start grabbing plates. “Im you’re goof.” You hear him mumble happily.
