Some of my absolute favorite HR fics to keep you entertained during these scorching times. All AU in some way because that is my drug of choice. Also most of these are WIPs because I think a lot of you are not living life to the fullest and even if none of these ever upload again they are still 10000% worth the read.

Shane has an identical twin brother and agrees to take his place at a photoshoot. Ilya Rozanov is also at this photoshoot. So many emotions, such rich characterization, such a good alternate timeline. Plus Shane is a cat owner.

The Hollander Girl by TheDamselFly (WIP) 104k

Shane has a sister who cares about him a lot. This changes things considerably. Great sibling dynamic, once again a great timeline adjustment, and so much great Cliff Marleau content

Ilya dies in the plane crash…except he doesn’t. He wakes up as a teenager about to face Shane Hollander for the second time, and he’s determined to do it right this time. BEAUTIFUL STUNNING HEARTBREAKING (but so sweet and tender and fun). This one is very popular for good reason, but it’s a WIP so I know for a fact it hasn’t reached everyone’s desk

I'm Reading Your Lips (You're Speaking My Language) by some1_around (Complete) 30k

Shane speaks Russian, and the narrative around him and Ilya forms around their friendship instead of their rivalry. Another super popular one. Really interesting backstory and heritage given to Shane's family, and the build from friends with benefits to actual relationship is *chef's kiss*

I'll Believe in Anything (Except That) by Vardic (WIP) 82k

Yuna walks in on Shane and Ilya after the CCM shoot, makes some assumptions, and the boys just roll with it. So much fun, I love this timeline for Ilya especially. Super excited to see the rest of this play out!

Hmmm… Favorite? That’s hard… My top 3 in no particular order (with fic recs because how else am I supposed to convince you?) would be:

Rexanidala (Rex/Anakin Skywalker/Padme Amidala)

Fake Affair (To Hide the Real Affair) - This was the fic to convince me. It's such a good time, highly recommend! (You do need an account though). Honestly, anything else that @phoenixyfriend has under the Rexanidala tag is GOLD.

The Little Trooper - Post Clone Wars -good ending- literally adorable, and features young Leia.

Influence - The sexy fic with a side of Codywan. Anakin can feel Obi-Wan's feelings through The Force. So when Obi-Wan and Cody are enjoying themselves... Anakin feels it secondhand. Don't worry though, his lovers will take care of him.

Timberkon (Tim Drake/Bernard Dowd/Kon-el *leather jacket mode*)

think pink - If you like this ship and you haven't read this, what are you doing? This is one of The Best Smut Fics of all time. If you only like one pair, this will convince you otherwise. Even if you don't know anything about the characters I would still recommend reading it.

The harkness test, and all it entails - This fic is really fun and it always makes me laugh! Bernard figured out Tim is Red Robin and figured out that getting stuff wrong makes Tim want to correct him. So he starts coming up with the wildest, most wacky theories in hopes that Tim will break and tell him. Also, clearly Red Robin and Superboy have a thing for each other, right?

Just let me adore you, oh honey - The Waynes, and those associated, are getting ready for a Pride Parade and Bernard offers to do Kon's make-up. Poor Kon's having a gay panic and Tim is realizing a lot about himself.

Jegulily/Photosynthesis (James Potter/Regulus Black/Lily Evans)

A String of Consequences - The Jegulily Fic. I love this fic to pieces and it's the first fic that pops into my head to recommend with this ship. James needs a potions tutor. Regulus needs a model. Pandora is There Tm and amortentia is central to this. Also no Voldy.

i wanna hear you confess now - A drunk James confesses to a drunk Lily that he likes Reg. Lily is fine with that because she feels the same, and 2 minutes later, there's Regulus. James exposes them cause he's drunk. They talk, and the rest of the fic is smut.

the view between villages - A post war fic where Regulus saved the Potters that night and defeated Voldemort. Now he has to find a way to live in a time of peace. Some very angsty moments, some pining, some Bonding Black Brothers Tm, and long awaited smut in the last chapter.

Honestly, the first time really got behind a poly ship in a fandom was probably TodoBakuDeku (Shoto Todoroki/Katsuki Bakugo/Izuku Midoriya) during my Gacha phase…

so today is the last day of july, which means it’s the last day of fan joy july. (of course, im still going to be giving appreciation to everything i enjoy, but still.) i wanted to do more for this month, but time just escaped me. with that said… here’s a list of my top favorite lu fics that i will talk about for hours!! (most of these are sky centric, but i love him soooo…) (also almost all of them have heavy themes and topics so read through the content warnings please!)

This is an Adjuration by NotFreyja - this is a freaking beautiful fic, dare i say masterpiece. it’s a forging the chain type fic, with a compelling story and just read it already.

To Isolate by Polteageist (Poltea) and sky_squiddo - mmmmmmmmm!!!! it’s a mystery, a little on the dark side and has some heavy themes but it’s worth it in the end! also a masterpiece, ngl. read through the warnings though, just in case.

Father of Time by MrsMusica - what if time has a dad? what if said dad was a god? what if i love this fic with all my heart? what if this is a masterpiece too? hmmmmmm? (this is actually one of the first fics i’ve read. like ever. and i do not regret it.)

this year it taught me (lost and ambitious) by qar - hehehe my love. masterpiece. (perfect for sky lovers!)

Breath of the Sky by Skye_the_Lofty_Nutcase - sky and sun meet wild and flora, but it’s pre calamity. drama and hyjinks ensue. overall, it’s a masterpiece.

the faces left behind by skyknights - get ready for a bad time! there’s some heavy topics here so read through the content warnings and stuff. it legit almost made me cry, but it’s okay because it’s a masterpiece. and there’s also a really cool fight scene so it’s worth it.

Unravelling by major_de_speed - sky angst, sky angst, sky angst …sky angst. also some heavy topics, so read through the disclaimers. this is actually the third part of multiple fics so i’d recommend reading the others first. masterpiece.

herd by rebornofstars - funny. so funny. twilight has multiple crises, sky doesn’t help, wind is a wild child, and warriors just wants to sleep. a masterpiece.

Fountain of Youth by myshovelbroke - sky twi and wars have some fun in this masterpiece of a fic. love em.

Violet by FlamingIdiot - oh dear lord the crack goes crazy. it’s so funny, just read this masterpiece and the other five that go with it.
