like that's my main thing. i don't understand who's being protected and what's being achieved with a callout post. you're worried about them victimizing other people? reach out to those other people. but most of the time, these aren't people with massive amounts of money for lawyers that help them avoid consequences, these aren't people leading a sex trafficking ring, these aren't people who are such a threat to everyone around them that you need to involve every single person that could possible reblog a post of theirs. while there are some situations that makes sense in, it's not what i see from most of these. from what i see in most of these, this is someone behaving like a predator in discord chats, which is where it should be dealt with. random people don't need "protecting", it's just an urge to lash out and hurt back. which makes total and complete sense- except that you can't ever tell which is an urge to lash out because of trauma and which is an urge to lash out out of unjustified vitriol for a person you don't like.
