You know... Capcom is definitely going to change Spencer's story in RE 5 Remake with the present continuity version of characters. In RE 9, it felt like he has a change of heart and wanted to do some good before dying or something. Especially, with how much he cared for Grace. She was basically the atonement for his sins in his own eyes. He wanted to protect and cherish at least one life. As Alyssa Ashcroft herself said, Grace is the hope. So, keeping the original character of Spencer won't make much sense because in RE 5, the man was doing brutal human experiments until his last breath. As in, human experiments and mutilated bodies in the basement of his mansion. Hell, he talked about how he should have become immortal and basically a God, ushering a new era for humanity and shit. The OG version is more...well no...not more evil. But evil in a less complicated way. He is bad guy because he thinks everything is worth it in the end when humans will "evolve" with his virulent experiments. The "remake" Spencer seems to have a change of heart. Might be less realistic take on his actions though but this is a video game, after all.
I saw a post on twitter. Someone rewriting the RE Requiem with Jill as the second protagonist and hmmmmm I kinda love it.
Leon is great, no doubt. But Jill's story was all about finding the cure in RE 3 Remake...she lost it. And she also has been infected and mind controlled. Raccoon City is her city, where she worked and lived. Her going back and getting elpis while fighting another, more intelligent nemesis type, Victor Gideon, who experiments in people...just like how she was experimented on by Albert Wesker. Fighting Zeno, a clone of the man who basically made you a puppet and used you to kill others. Now, he is trying to manipulate another innocent woman.
Even in the bad ending, her sacrificing herself to save Grace would be so...tasteful, considering she has actually killed innocent people while under P30 drug. Her saying "At least I saved you..." And then getting killed by, again, a Wesker clone...the very avatar of the man who betrayed her in every way possible. UFFF!!
She goes back to the police department she worked in, now completely desolate and destroyed. Fighting zombies in the streets the way she fought them off, back in 1998. The same streets she walked and roamed on, so many times!
The cure she couldn't secure because she feels like she failed people. Because she left Nicholai Zinoviev back then. Maybe if she had taken him hostage...this T-virus infection would not be wrecking her body right now. Killing even more people. She will also be so similar to Alyssa Ashcroft for Grace, just like Leon was. Except, this will be a new experience for her and for us. Seeing Jill Valentine be a girlmom, a mentor, just like we have seen Leon, Claire and, up to a level, Chris be girlmom and girldads.
Not to forget the parallel of how Spencer experimented on little girls, just like how she was experimented on and almost made a monster. That's a great parallel between Grace and Jill too. Grace was almost a victim too. With her, the Requiem gun wings would make a much deeper impact too. Because the wings are also a symbol of the Redfields. Her old partner. The one she almost died for. The one who risked everything to rescue her. The same wings he also gave to his only family, Claire Redfield.
In the good ending too, Grace finally conquers T-virus because Grace rescued her. And then becomes strong enough to destroy another nemesis. Her hoping that elpis works on Emily too, the innocent girl she had to hurt, just like she had hurt so many other innocents back in 2005, because of uroboros. Hound Wolf Squad then rescues her and Grace, and Chris asks for her for another mission. Just like old times!
And then Jill takes care of both Grace and Emily post game too, keeps in touch with them. She has the cure for Claire, Leon and Sherry too. Oh my god...that would have been beautiful indeed.
But hey, I am not mad. RE 9 finally made Leon look hot af to me. I like the game as it is. I just love talking about what-ifs.

every time i see someone accused of treating their partner horribly it just makes my stomach turn.
if even half of what's being described is true, that's heartbreaking. nobody deserves to be manipulated, controlled, or made to feel unsafe in a relationship. i hope the people who've shared their experiences have the support they need, and i hope anyone going through something similar knows they deserve so much better.
normalize holding people accountable for harmful behavior instead of making excuses for it.
Other thought on re 9 I hate that everyone think Ada need to be in the dlc with Leon I find it super annoying I love Ada don't get me wrong but people either see Ada as toxic or has to be in every game with Leon. I blame Capcom for not given Ada her own game and given us more about her
Elpis-tolón wip
Sorry, it's a pun in Spanish :P
