contact
Remus has never been too keen on physical contact -- half because of natural inclination, and half because he’s never felt at home in his own body. ( Modesty goes hand in hand with this; unless you’re one of the Marauders you’ve never seen him in less than a shirt and shorts -- there are too many scars to hide. ) However, in the past few years ( mainly because Sirius is a very physically affectionate person ) Remus has grown out of his phobia of touching people and doesn’t really mind it at this point. The only people he really initiates physical contact with are the Marauders ( there is literally no more awkwardness between them at this point and they’ve probably piled onto the Common Room sofa to have a group nap on multiple occasions ) and to a lesser extent, Marlene, Lily, Dorcas and Mary. In general, though, he’s not really physically affectionate, although in cases when he sees someone crying or he’s really happy he’s likely to offer a hug.
The way Remus does show his affection is never really explicit. He’ll stay up late with you if you need someone to proofread your charms essay. If you’re feeling sick lately, he’ll grab a little pot of honey from the kitchens for you to put in your tea. If he knows you’re into Quidditch, he’ll pass on a free poster he got inside a cereal box. He isn’t one to outright tell someone he cares for them -- although he has, on a few occasions. He’s more likely to do things for the people he cares about, because if the people he loves are happy, he’s happy too.
interiors
The Marauders’ dorm room, while a veritable storm of chaos, is one of the few places Remus feels completely at home. On any normal day, there are clothes strewn around the room – a clear violation of Rule #2, not that anyone but Remus even remembers that the first five rules of the Marauder Code even exist – a half-eaten bar of chocolate on the dresser, a few rolls of notes with doodles all over them on the floor, a suspicious package of prank materials in the corner and at least two of them hanging around on their beds. The Code itself is stashed somewhere hidden in the room alongside the Map, although all four members know where to find them. There’s an old record player in the corner that they use to play various kinds of music – muggle and magical alike – and even though it keeps breaking down Remus is far too attached to it at this point to scrap it and buy a new one. There’s one wall in their dorm that’s completely covered in notes of various sorts, from Sirius’s poetry and prank blueprints to goofy photos and a moon chart. This is their wall. Perhaps it’s less of a scrapbook and more of a scrapwall, but either way they haven’t cleaned it off since first year and probably won’t until they graduate.
love note
If you were to ask Remus Lupin if he happened to fancy anyone, he’d adamantly deny it. Him, liking someone? Why, that’s absurd. Of course he’s found people attractive, but liking is a completely different story. No, he doesn’t like anyone ( for him, the thought is out of the question ).
At any rate, even if he did like someone -- someone sweet, and kind, and wonderfully brilliant at dueling -- even if he’d never been in a relationship before, and he hadn’t ever wanted a relationship until now and couldn’t help but hope that it could happen, and even though it’s a completely foolhardy and idiotic idea he couldn’t help but think that maybe in some alternate universe where he wasn’t such a complete freak they might be weirdly perfect together, and maybe be happy together too, that doesn’t mean she’d like him back.
But of course, he doesn’t like anyone, so all of this is just speculation, obviously. ( Although if you observed him on a Wednesday night prefect round, you might be tempted to say otherwise. )

les misérables au
[ The June Rebellion of 1832 -- The French Revolution of 1848 ]
The streets are filled with the poor, the rich pass by without any acknowledgement, preferring to spend their money at whorehouses than donating to charities hard-pressed for funds. Filled with the fire for revolution, a group of university students known as the Order rise up and barricade the streets of Paris in an attempt to free the people from the tyrannical rule of the French monarchy. They are crushed ruthlessly by the French military, slaughtered in the streets with never a proper burial, a revolution crumbling into dust.
He is left more utterly alone than ever before; a boy shunned by society for his parent’s sins, without friends to find solace in and without a place to lay his head. Yet thirteen years later, an old mentor finds him in a desolate with a whisper of hope: the phoenix of revolution has risen again from the ashes -- this time to truly establish a democracy. And so he works, and rises, and sacrifices, and hopes. He will strive so that his friends did not die in vain.
THE DEVIL’S GOT NOTHING ON ME, MY FRIEND;
NIKOLAI SELWYN ;; UNDERBOSS AU. The Selwyn crime family operates mainly in Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn, & New Jersey. The family also maintains influence in Queens, Staten Island, Long Island, Westchester County, Rockland County, Connecticut, Massachusetts, & Florida. The Selwyn Family is one of the five families that dominate organized crime activities in New York City.
Prominent Members ;; Julius Selwyn ( Boss ), Nikolai Selwyn ( Underboss ), Evan Rosier ( Consigliere ), & Antonin Dolohov ( Capo ).
The DEATH EATERS consist of New York’s major crime families, each operating in specific territories & owning a seat on The Commission. Established in 1938, when Tom Marvolo Riddle, the boss of the now defunct Riddle crime family, formally organized the previously warring factions into what are now known as the Avery, Black, Lestrange, Malfoy, Riddle (no longer extant), & Selwyn crime families, each with demarcated territory, organizationally structured in a now-familiar hierarchy, & reporting up to the same overarching governing entity. Despite resistance from his fellow bosses, Riddle declared himself boss of all bosses, reneging on a deal he had made with Arcturus Black III, the then boss of the Black crime family, that would establish the two bosses as equals. Riddle was murdered in the summer of 1945. His murder is said to have been the result of an agreement between Arcturus Black III, Armand Malfoy II, & Caius Selwyn. The Commission, the governing entity which continues to govern Death Eaters activities in the United States & Canada, was established soon after.
