i'm curious about what Roz and Shane's relationship looked like prior to the Rose Incident. (i would assume that it looked at least somewhat different than the source material based on who Roz is as a character in comparison to canon Ilya).
Was their relationship any different? Did Roz seem completely fine and normal to Shane until it was too late? Or were there any red flags Shane deliberately ignored?
it was pretty much canon, honestly, think canon ilya at the start of their situationship, just a little more excitable, a little more abrasive. nothing abusive, and nothing that read as a red flag at the time. in retrospect maybe there's something there if you squint: he's quick to mood swings, genuinely hard to read sometimes, constantly horny and a touch aggressive in bed. likes talking about himself more than asking questions. shane had no idea about any stalking or monitoring, none, ofc roz is good at this part.
