@rayofsunshinc gets a plotted starter
It had been weeks of Maggie hardly sleeping, weeks of her waking up in the middle of the night screaming, weeks of her nightmarish visions following her into the daylight. She tried to brush it off at first. She told Dominic that this was normal for her, that it wasn't something he needed to worry about. It wasn't entirely a lie, but it wasn't the whole truth, either.
It was normal for her to have nightmares, whether from ghosts literally haunting her sleep, or memories of her time in the mental hospital being twisted by her subconscious. . . What wasn't normal was for her to feel the same entity present in every single one of them. It was even odder for her not to be able to see them clearly. It was more of a feeling than an actual presence. That had somehow made Maggie more paranoid; she didn't know what was haunting her, so she didn't know how to face it, so she didn't know how to tell Dominic what was actually going on.
All of this led to now. Maggie, clutching her sketchbook and a charcoal pencil like they were all that kept her tethered to reality, staring ahead with blank eyes in a sort of trance, as she tried to connect to the thing that was plaguing her day and night. Her eyelids fluttered and she dipped forward slightly as some. . .thing came over her.

"I do," Maggie whispered back, not even aware that she was talking out loud. "Show me. I want to see you."

Maggie's hand clutching the charcoal started moving, quickly but smoothly, and a face began taking shape. Though it looked more like a mask than anything. "Show me," she whispered again. She was in so deep, she never even noticed Dominic entering the room.
