An angsty idea I have from listening to the songs and have it stuck in my head for days because it’s so good and realized I DO have the perfect AU for this, Raw and Dolly in Soul Eater AU [Explaination under cut im sorry mobile user ]
In the Soul Eater AU, Dolly is essentially Medusa and Sentry is Crona. In here tho Dolly still married to Raw and Sentry is still their child. She lay low about the whole witch thing and lived happily with their family. But witch hunt happened and they all got involved and long story short, Raw got attacked and left on a vegetative state, with little to no way to wake him up again. All of DOlly’s experiments and witch stuff all in attempt to bring back her loved one to life.
And in this picturesand in contex of the songs, it’s actually more like a what if? What if in one of the attempt to bring him back, Dolly put his soul in various doll to bring him back? And one of it being Sentry?
Sentry still himself and all but Raw never once try to speak back to Dolly. Sentry talks to Dolly a lot but its.. not her love so.. “ I have a dolly, and he's very stabling if not a little just too distant cause he never says a thing.... “

an idea i had for a while, basically now Dolly is the experimented monster and Raw the new intern in the lab. They’re personality is still the same so now we have (still) socially awkward Raw and sheltered Dolly who’s happy theres more people to talk to but very awkward at social situation. Raw just plain doesn’t like socializing in general so that doesn’t change. Dolly’s excitement for socializing now comes from being sheltered for so long she just want some friends owo

a tad longer explanation would probably be over why her hair is short here? for most of her life, Dolly was assigned boy gender so she just act accordingly and with the sheltered and strict experiment she never really question it. Until she got the job at the laboratorium and finally meeting more people, she’s finally more open on the idea that “maybe im not actually a boy” so she starts growing her hair at this point and that’s why it’s still short. the usual Dolly has had her revelation moment much sooner than this AU so yeah
Raw still has crack under his eye but this one is more likely from fighting people over stuff. He has more socializing here but he’s still not good with people.. he just doesn’t like people in general i guess XD
