100%. This is exactly what everyone has been saying for years — if they’re truly so concerned and fearful of their safety, then why do they constantly put out press releases telling the world their precise whereabouts, when they’ll be there, and for how long they’ll be there.

After all, it’s being reported they are staying in Portugal at the moment and no one seems to mind that they traveled there, are there and doing whatever they do there?

Correct - no one minds or cares where they are.

Why is it just UK specific?

It’s three-fold.

1- so the press knows where they are and can be there to cover their “events” and give them attention for free.

2- to give a heads up to their fans so their fans can make plans to be there so in the press photos, it will look like Harry and Meghan are popular and well-liked by the public.

3- to manufacture a security crisis that they can use to back out. For instance, by saying they’re going to be at Charity A on Tuesday, then they’re gambling that Charity A will get protestors or threats that they can report to RAVEC and Charles “see? We didn’t make it up, there are serious threats against our lives here “

4- to give their itinerary to Charles and the BRF so they will know when Harry has free time and is available to meet with them for reconciliation.

Logically, if someone wanted to take out a Sussex member, they could do it literally anywhere the family is?

Correct again! If there were serious and legit security threats against the Sussexes, they don’t need to be in the UK to do it. They can just show up in Montecito or wherever they’re traveling because they always publish very detailed itineraries.

No, it is silly. It was silly back in 2020. It’s silly six years later. It’s how you know this is more about sour grapes and jealousy than actual security concerns.

Because if there were real security risks here, they wouldn’t be communicating all of this in advance like this. They’d be doing what the Waleses do, which is to give same-day notice.

The politicking is INSANE to me. Harry is literally using his privilege to coerce an outcome that will screw over the UK pubic.

I don’t really know what’s going on here. All I know is that proper law enforcement wouldn’t leak findings of an in-progress security investigation like this, so either this is Harkle manifesting or Scotland Yard, RAVEC, and/or the intelligence agencies have a very bad leak in their rosters.

IMO, it’s probably the former (Harkle manifesting). After all, the only people who are talking about this are Harry and those affiliated with Harry. It sounds like Harry may be setting up a smear campaign if the final decision isn’t in Harry’s favor.

They also said that just as it would be constitutionally wrong for the King to ask the Government to take a particular course of action on security provision, so it would be inappropriate for his representatives to do so on his behalf.”

I might be reaching but this is once again a premature reaction to the George going to Eton news. William and his kids are well connected to England and this news about Eton was one more step. Harry had to leak that his kids too are part of this culture, tradition, and whatnot. Not that I’m saying that him brining them is motivated by that but this leak is.

No news is good news, so in the case of Harry’s security means no change in his status or eligibility for taxpayer-funded security. If Charles wants to privately and personally pay for the Sussexes’ security if they should come for the UK this summer, then that’s a different issue and totally separate from RAVEC and the lawsuit.

And in reading your line about William being connected to England and British heritage, this immediately popped into my head:

That's perfectly fine! It's like I always say - there's so much that has already happened that I/we never in a million years thought was possible, which means it's very likely that more impossible/implausible things could still happen. Including Harry getting his security back and/or moving to the UK.

FWIW, I'm basing my opinion on my own experience with security clearance reviews through my work, which is that unless something really bad as happened or your personal situation has dramatically changed (e.g., relationship, job, big move, huge windfall or loss), then your security clearance doesn't change.

So of course, we don't always know what's happening behind closed doors at the Montecito Mansion or the palace so there is a chance something could change with Harry's security status as a result of this review.

At that point, that's when I put my trust in Charles. Maybe it's foolhardy of me to do so, but it's not blind trust - it's evidence-based, which is that when push truly comes to shove, Charles will step up and shut it down. He did it with Diana, he did it with Christopher Geidst, he did it with "Recollections may vary," he did it with the COS, he did it with Andrew. Except the problem with this is that Charles has a very, very, very long fuse and it usually takes someone else (The Queen with Diana, Andrew with Sir Geidst, Kate with "recollections may vary", William with Andrew) to push him over the finish line.
