#ratsnake

A beautiful ratsnake posing very politely for photos! I stumbled upon this individual meandering between trees in a small wooded section of pastureland. As ratsnakes do, it sat still and allowed me to take all kinds of photos, including macros of its face! Once it decided I wasn't a threat, it resumed its slow crawl across the forest floor, allowing me to get a nice video of its slither action. I need more snakes to pop up like this guy did!

I did have to change my shirt afterwards though bc he musked all over me =x=;

So I caught a snake in my dungeon today.

I *STILL* need to name this 2023 Thai bamboo boy. I could've SWORN I had a name picked out but I never wrote it down anywhere, apparently, so if it was real it's gone from my memory forever. 🤦‍♀️

Snakes are good for your yard and garden. The Ratsnake is harmless and you can see he was startled by us and wanted to get away. I love seeing them.
