A beautiful ratsnake posing very politely for photos! I stumbled upon this individual meandering between trees in a small wooded section of pastureland. As ratsnakes do, it sat still and allowed me to take all kinds of photos, including macros of its face! Once it decided I wasn't a threat, it resumed its slow crawl across the forest floor, allowing me to get a nice video of its slither action. I need more snakes to pop up like this guy did!

When I found him, there were like 10 grown ass men standing around and (failing) to catch it because they were all afraid of being bitten. Once I IDed the guy I basically just reached under the pallet and pulled him out. Didn’t hiss or nothin
I did have to change my shirt afterwards though bc he musked all over me =x=;

Snakes are good for your yard and garden. The Ratsnake is harmless and you can see he was startled by us and wanted to get away. I love seeing them.
