It’s springtime and Canberra Native Lil Timmy Turner has given us an awesome remix of a classic titled ‘I LOVE IT WHEN THEY RUN’. Dusk and I (Waschie, pleased to meet you) have given our reviews just below.

IN THE WORDS OF WASCHIE:
I LOVE IT WHEN THEY RUN (REMIX). A CBRRAP REVIEW ON 10.31.21
A fierce track from one of Canberra's very own, Lil Timmy Turner who has spent a considerable amount of time in Canberra's underground rap scene. This one has some insane bars and cold beat switches.
CBRRAP SCALE:
PRODUCTION:
A crisp and clean production style. The beat is nicely mixed in with the melody and vocals. The melody is minimal but it’s perfect that way. The star of this show are the vocals, and the backtracking gives room for them. 11/11.
LYRICISMS (FLOW FACTOR):
The songwriting is through the roof. Every single line is better than the last and you can physically hear Lil Timmy clutch his jaw to snap every rhyme into place. His shifts between fast and relaxed give a suspenseful twist with his pitch changing at keys points in the song for extra character. 10/11
LYRICISMS (PHILOSOPHY FACTOR)
The overall style of the lyrics are quite, ‘braggadaccio’. And thats exactly as it suggests, bragging. While personally I’m not a fan of such styles, the way in which he’s so articulately rapped about his great feats is undeniable. However, there is not much in the way of ‘philosophical’ or ‘deep’ songwriting. The flow holds up, but the philosophy does not. 5/11
HYPE FACTOR:
If you want to get hype, this mans got you. 9/11 - Waschbär
IN THE WORDS OF DUSK:
The new Lil Timmy turner remix lets you know what it’s all about from the track length. It’s a hype trap banger with this time having a far greater ambient influence in the production that works surprisingly well. Sadly the biggest downfall is its lyrics. There are some funny bars about tradies and Gordon Ramsay but Lil Timmy turners yet to separate himself from his contemporaries. This will likely be addressed with an album or tape. Other positives are the track is mixed quite well with the hi-hats not feeling too loud. Overall this is a really interesting track and turner’s career is one to keep an eye on - Surreal Dusk
