#randy rhoads

This is random but I have this weird memory of me being a kid standing on my basement steps taking to my dad about Ozzy Osbourne’s guitarists and how Randy Rhoads died and for some reason this memory like stayed with me for all these years. I just kept this random conversation in my head and latched onto the name Randy Rhoads, until around last June when I revisited Quiet Riot’s music in the first time since I was a kid, rewatching the metal health music video, and then pre-Metal Health era when Randy was in the band, and listened to some of the early recordings at the Starwood then becoming infatuating with his guitar playing. I then fully listened to Blizzard of Ozz and was again wowed of Randy’s playing. He became my favorite guitarist and like such an inspiration for me, Dee is literally the first song I learned on guitar (even though I kinda suck at it but). I just thinks it’s interesting how his name always stuck with me in the back of my mind and how later on in my life became so important to me. Ughhh, he deserved to become an even better guitarist and continue his skill, his death will never sit right with me. There’s a clip of him saying “I just don’t want to stop here, y’know?” And I think it’s from the year before be died or so ugh it’s so heartbreaking. Randy you deserved to live past 25
