Why do I get creeped out when someone says “I like black girls?” Liiiiiike, I didn’t say I like whatever ethnicity you were, just thought it might be interesting to talk to you.  I don’t want to be bitchy and chastise him for the careless comment, but what else is there to do? 

I edit ppl in my mind while having conversations. I edit books as I read them and will discard a book/story if there are too many errors in the first few pages. I edit grammar and the way a story flows. I don't like unnecessary words in sentences. It really bothers me when the following words are used incorrectly: there-their-they're your-you're defiantly instead of definitely coarse-course here-hear-hair-heir want-wont I edit my text messages and tweets several times to make sure they're correct. This does not apply when live-tweeting a show or being emotional. I have a fear of misspelled words and incorrect grammar, but only when it involves my own writing. Law school, law review, and teaching legal writing broke my mind. The result: I can't read like normal ppl. BUT, I don't leave bad reviews. It's insincere to berate authors for mistakes because we all make them. It takes a lot to share your art with the world. Unless you can say it with kindness, don't leave bad reviews.
