During the first lockdown Maium made a small decision to work with a small group of volunteers to serve some of his neighbours, to keep an eye on their welfare and drop the occasional food parcels to their doors. Roll on one year and the Island Network are within touching distance of 50,000 meals shared. The team have achieved astonishing numbers through sheer passion. Their operations have attracted the interest of local based global companies to support their work through mass donations of foods and goods. Maium has led a small and humble team of locals to achieve phenomenal results. I have volunteered alongside them and been inspired each and every time. Happy Friday! It’s Jumuah - The best day of the week. I hope you’ve all had a productive five days. On the second Friday of Ramadan I wanted to update that I’ve reached 100k of my #Ramadan300 cycle challenge to support Lonely Orphans in the work they are doing to help the #Rohingya and orphans. £10 feeds a child for the whole month and £50 is sufficient for a family.
