So the other day Ed was able to mow the lawn using a neighbors riding lawn mower as ours needs new tires. This lawnmower didn't have a clipping collecting bag thing on it so Ed tried getting it all as together as he could while mowing. I already wanted to rake the leaves at some point so we figured I would rake both the leaves and the grass clippings... our house is on a half acre and so far this is what I've gotten done. Pretty much a line from the driveway to the road we live beside and then down to the road we live on. #rakingleaves #blowingwind #fallingleaves #fall The Sawtooth Oak tree that I raked all the leaves up from generally it would keep its leaves on most of the winter and only drop them in late spring. But it got really cold out and then windy and rainy so a whole bunch of leaves came down. I did a video of the tree in the morning as the sun came up. So the sunlight started to hit the tree. The leaves and grass were all frosty. The cold of the night must have broken the bond between the leaf and the tree. Then the sun just melted the water, sap or whatever was keeping the leaves from falling. You can just hear the sound of the leaves as they fell. So was it the sound of the leaves hitting other leaves, or leaves breaking a bond with the tree? Whatever it was it was a cool sound. I have had one of the busiest periods of my life in past two months. It is now easing up a bit and I had high hopes for a social media and blog writing time ( = most relaxing activity ever) during my free day on Friday and during the weekend. Well, with these two 👦🏼👧🏼- simply impossible. On Friday I had some “my time” with Pilates 🧘🏻‍♀️ and a massage but Saturday and Sunday were filled with family time and that means that me-myself-and-I are not the priority. Today we were mainly outdoors and did a good workout raking the leaves🍁🍂☀️. Bouncing off the cliff, Running in leaves and being nurisee in leaves were a blast!
