An idea I just had: a terra that's a gigantic tree. its roots are in the Wastelands and charred black and the branches and leaves flourish above the cloud line
Part of the great inbox purge of 2025
Oh, I love this, and have actually toyed with the idea myself a few times, so same hat!! I like the idea that there are Terras that used to be gigantic trees, right up until giants decided to cut them down for lumber, leaving the stumps behind for people to habitate.
I think I failed to answer this ask because I wanted to draw the concept. Maybe one day I'll do that. Environmental concept art isn't something I've felt brave enough to try until recently.

Something that came into my head just now: imagine a Dark Souls game using Dragon Booster's setting and characters, or just the characters as Dark Souls bosses. We'll call it Dragon Souls.
At this point, after all these years, if I see any proposition for there being something Dragon Booster, my answer is a resounding:
Imagine being a warrior in draconium armor, and suddenly a hydrag snaps at you from its cave. Or you’re exploring a dungeon, then see the eyes of a muhorta open and you’re surrounded by its tentacles. Or you see a group of exo-shed grey dragons in the distance, and try not to risk aggro-ing them unless you Want To Die.
I'll be honest, I never understood the appeal of Piclonis. Couldn't wrap my head around it. No matter what, it just didn't feel like a relationship that would make sense!
Piclonis as toxic yuri, on the other hand...
part of the great drafts and inbox purge of 2025. I wrote the first two paragraphs, got sidetracked, and forgot to finish it like usual.
Lol I'm sure someone who's far more passionate about Cyper/Piclonis than I am would be happy to explain their viewpoint to you. There's several posts about it already hanging around in the tag.
I can see where it works in theory but my own viewpoint is that I don't really see it lasting. Unless, of course, you're into toxic yuri where they keep dragging each other back into the relationship through one codependent means or another lol. I do find that to be some tasty soup even if I'm not writing it myself at the moment. Not everyone's cup of tea, but what is?
A lot of the art I see of the ship is pretty cute, I can always appreciate some good ship art. I think I'm just looking to explore other aspects of their dynamic though, especially platonically. I love these two, I love the possibilities between them, I want to see how far I can take it with or without the power of romance XD
A few more thoughts below the cut. If I hadn't gotten stalled in first answering this ask when I first got it, then there would be more but the word flow sadly isn't as plentiful as I would like it to be today.
Neither of the girls really trust each other enough for a meaningful relationship throughout the show. Cyclonis broke Piper's trust at the end of BFFs and we see in Forbidden City with Domiwick that Piper is surprisingly quick to turn on anyone she sees as aligned with Cyclonia. They're both teenagers under a lot of pressure, emotions are pretty much always running high even when they're not fighting with each other, someone is bound to say something to the other during an argument that will not be easy to forgive or take back, it's happened enough times in canon.
I can see them becoming friends on the far side in the event that they're forced to work together towards a common goal, but it's definitely strained due to their history. Come on, Cyclonis tried to kill Piper. Twice. Just because that Oblivion Stone didn't work doesn't mean there wasn't intent behind its use.
Bonus mini essay from Discord that I had a while back
