First time I've ever watched #ButchCassidyAndTheSundanceKid from 1⃣9⃣6⃣9⃣. The movie legitimized #RobertRedford after he'd done a bunch of romantic films. 🎥 It's the role that led him to name his independent film festival and other things after this memorable character. Directed by #GeorgeRoyHill, who would reunite with Redford and #PaulNewman a few years later on The Sting, where he would win a Best Director Oscar. The music here was by @burtbacharach and #RaindropsKeepFallinOnMyHead won the Oscar for Best Song. Butch and Sundance were bank robbers in the old west, 🤠 founders of the Hole in the Wall Gang who took their thieving to Bolivia 🇧🇴 with the very pretty #KatharineRoss.
