There is a specific brand of 1960s optimism that suggests three grown adults can comfortably share one standard-sized umbrella without anyone’s shoulder becoming a localized swamp. This is "High Fashion Weather": the kind of rain that is perfectly backlit, aesthetically pleasing, and apparently made of sparkling cider rather than cold city soot. I particularly admire the commitment of the woman on the left; she’s reached the level of joy usually reserved for winning the lottery or finally figuring out how to thread a film projector on the first try. Meanwhile, Gingham Girl on the right is one strong gust of wind away from a very stylish Mary Poppins exit.
Sourced from the February 1962 issue of Redbook magazine.

Tough Customer were a Vancouver, British Columbia band active in the 2010s that, as far as I can tell, are no longer active. I learned about them when looking for a copy of the reissued 7" from Quite Ridiculous Nonsense, which lives up to its name in a glorious, unexpected way (really - give it a listen. Household appliances never sounded so good).
Tough Customer "Darlene" 7" sounds like it was music made in the late 1970s/early 1980s. The first things I thought of were Oh Ok, Pylon and Vomit Launch. None of those came up on the Bandcamp page comparisons which were: Raincoats, Kleenex, Long Blondes, Talking Heads, Cindy Lauper, Petticoats.
This 7" was released by Sweet Rot Records, which also co-released the 7" from Quite Ridiculous Nonsense with Celluloid Lunch Records (sold out at their Bandcamp page).
