Rainbow bench
Riley is exploring the rainbow bench … wondering why I won’t finish it.
I didn’t use a primer before I started, which made applying all the warm colors very difficult.  For some reason all the cool colors went on wonderfully, and only needed a second coat because I found different shades I preferred.  Red is being the most difficult, having already had three or four coats, with another two or three needed.  I think I’ll paint the remaining black parts of the bench with black glitter paint, but that might be overkill.
Tonight I made tamagoyaki, a Japanese rolled omelette.
At first I had trouble rolling it, but it got easier layer by layer.  I didn’t have any mirin so I had to use a white wine and sugar mixture, but it ended up tasting fine.  I think I did pretty well for my first time.

The rainbow bench I'm painting.
And here is the crummy MS Paint version of approximately what the bench should look like once I get the back painted.
