the difference in tone between all the knives out movies intrigues me. the first and third are more serious mysteries, but glass onion is so totally different, much more light hearted. i wonder if thats because wed been in covid for like 2 years at that point and needed something more cheerful. the state of the world also seems to have had a lot to do with the themeing of wake up dead man, because people have been weaponizing christianity/catholisism so much recently. i wonder if worldly going ons also affected the theme of knives out in the same extreme ways, but i do not remember what was going on in 2019 so idk
