Furor Fragments
Slivers of the Rage Aspect
Also known as Volcanic Mines and Angry Obsidian to certain parties, Furor Fragments are a relatively common sublimation of the Rage Aspect. It takes the form of, as its moniker implies, small pieces of obsidian. Thin vein-like lines crisscross just beneath its surface, visible through their faint orange glow. The fragments act as containers for pure Rage Antergy, remnants from their volcanic origins, and even the smallest piece contain enough to do damage to another being.
Should one of the fragments be broken, such as by someone stepping on them, the contained Antergy would violently burst out in the form of black stone. Very spiky and sharp black stones. The sheer force of this expansion of matter is comparable to a medium caliber gun in extreme cases, and makes just as much noise, though it’s actually more similar to a dart gun in most cases. Most of the damage the materials can deal is usually in the form of cutting and piercing, as its protruding spikes are almost always blade-sharp.
Sublimation
This type of sliver almost always spawns near volcanic phenomena, usually in the aftermath of an eruption of some sort, though it can be artificially spawned through the use of powers and alchemy alike. Players who venture near such locations should take care to avoid stepping on them, either by watching out for faintly glowing rocks and wickedly sharp rock protrusions or by having nearby Underlings activate them for you.
Alchemy
Furor Fragments can be alchemized through a combination of Explosive, Volcanic, and Obsidian Grist. It can also be created by inserting regular Obsidian and sufficient amounts of Rage Antergy through an Antergy Sublimator.
More generally, items that incorporate it into their designs tend to be more brutal in nature. From bullets and arrows that expand into javelins and morning-stars when fired, to expanding stone swords and javelins, to even armors that counterattacks by growing stone spikes.
Powers
Aside from the usual plethora of matter creating powers, Furor Fragments can also be created by a few specialized abilities. The most common of which is one that converts some of the nearby ground into these fragments, creating a veritable minefield of spikes. Another common ability is to spawn small fragments and control how they form after cracking, allowing one to instantly create weapons or other objects so long as they have enough imagination for it.
