God of Tides Rafayel needed to reach a point where he groveled a little bit imo
With a goal to fall in love, the Sea God's Bride researches common date ideas and plans a picnic! Everything is in place and ready to go- except Rafayel doesn't show up, too occupied by trying to find other ways to solve the prophecy to keep track of time and tbh he didn't find the idea of sitting on a blanket in a small forest that appealing anyway.
More upset by his no show than she expected to be, Bride uses the psychic bond link to tell Rafayel that she's going to be staying in the castle instead of the temple and ignores his follow up question of why. She gives him the silent treatment up till he gets back and than she's suppperrr professional. Talks to him about the repairs she's done to the city and that a storm broke one of the windows of the temple so its been replaced for his comfort. When she goes to leave he stops her and demands to know what's going on and they get into an argument about the picnic thing bc what's really bothering MC is that her favorite berry fields have been flooded by salt water and all that's left of them is a few jars of jam. After being imprisoned for for years, what truly excited her about the picnic was the chance to share some of her favorite food with Rafayel and get to enjoy them for the first time again with him; But than he just... didn't show up, and she lost her appetite.
All the food was given away to the citizens, and she didn't eat a bite of it.
Aksjsbs its 2AM idk how this ends. Maybe with Rafayel making it up to her somehow? Probably by planning a make up picnic at a spot he remembers her thinking about longingly while locked up and he tracked down the jam so she can eat it again.
