A Weezer song popped into my head and I was like "wow this is such a good song I wonder if it's a demo from the 90s or smth" so I looked up the lyrics and it's a goddamn Raditude song

According to Weezerpedia, "I Woke Up in Love This Morning" is a cover song that was released exclusively on the Japanese version of Raditude (2009). Originally a boppy 1970s track by the Partridge Family, this cover features a much more Pinkerton-esque sound, with Rivers on vocals and instrumentation provided by the Canadian band Sloan. It has great distortion and a heavy sound, although it feels out of place on Raditude—a notion made even stranger by the fact that the song was recorded in 2003 (six years prior to the album's release) and Sloan doesn't even get recording credits on the song.

"In The Mall" is the ninth track from Weezer's 2009 album Raditude. On an album full of oft-panned songs, "In The Mall" is an interestingly polarizing track, as while some fans appreciate its powerful sound (courtesy of its driving power chord progression, bass line, and drumbeat), many other fans criticize how this tone clashes with the song's otherwise juvenile lyrics. According to Weezerpedia, even Patrick Wilson himself—who wrote the song—conceded that the track was not the best fit for a Weezer release.
I personally fall in between the two groups of fans, in that while I love how powerful the song sounds, I definitely feel it falls short of being a memorable song due to it's subject matter, which would have worked better on a track with a lighter sound, like something from SZNZ: Spring (2022).

Raditude - Weezer (2009)
Alright I coming out as a raditude fan. That’s right, I like that album and think it has peak songs other than can’t stop partying.
