Like Al went to speak easys regularly which would be not only desegregated but fairly open to queer people. This is the irony of living on the edges of legality.

To be seen wholly, fully, with all your flaws

To be accepted exactly as you are without conditions

To be fully, completely understood even into the dark corners of your mind

To be wanted, with all of the above, to be wanted, exactly like that.

To always have them there, no matter the circumstances

These two fools see each other down to the marrow. They know exactly how sick, twisted and flawed the other is, but also see every redeeming quality the other has as well.

And not only are both of them fully and unwaveringly accepting of the other being like that, but they do so without a single desire to actually change anything about the other.

And they WANT each other like that, plantonically, queerplatonic, romantically, sexually - pick your flavor, okay? - but they WANT they other around exactly like that. No conditions, no denials, no rejections (of them as people we aren't counting the offer), no legitimate judgements either.

They heckle each other, they berate each other, insult each other, criticize each other but it's just...talk. It's banter. They're airing their grievances but they're already accepting that this is how the other is and it's not going to change.

No matter what flavor of their dynamic you choose they love each other. There is love there. And it's the purest type of love one could possibly ever want.

I see you, I understand you, I'm the same as you, I'll always be there, you're wanted just as you are and I wouldn't change a thing.
