Isidor Isaac Rabi, a Polish-born American physicist, was born July 29, 1898.

Sure, Alvarez (San Francisco) talks like one (sometimes), but McMillan is closer to the San Fernando Valley (Redondo Beach of the South Bay), so...

Anyways Alvarez ships Lawrence with Alfred Loomis. I THOUGHT he'd be a Lawrenceheimer shipper but I guess not. Here's some evidence:

I don't even know what day we're supposed to be on because I have a lot of catch-up to do

Anyways...

If you google Edwin McMillan you'll find a lot of pictures of him with Glenn Seaborg. Which makes me want to pair them.

They even won their Nobel together, although I'm not sure that was completely fair. (What else to do? Blame it on Lawrence, of course!)

Anyways I'm sure McMillan/Seaborg (Millborg??) was an amazing relationship and probably very stable.

Seriously it's kind of cute. We have Seaborg smiling for the camera and McMillan staring at Seaborg's hair.

And here's this next one where THEIR HANDS ARE ALMOST TOUCHING.

Meanwhile the only photos I can find of Alvarez/McMillan (Alvamillan) have other people getting in the way. Including Seaborg, Lawrence, and Emilio Segre.

Anyways who's up for an "Alvamillborg" love triangle?

I see Alvarez as the one who's madly in love with McMillan but doesn't know so he treats him like dirt half the time. But the other half he's dragging him into all sorts of crazy schemes. McMillan just goes along with whatever Alvarez does. Except he has a secret crush on Seaborg. Who is not allowed to find out. I don't think Seaborg knows what is going on but he's just along for the ride.

And that's the chaos of the Rad Lab where we have Lawrence questioning those three.
