@rach8 / Rachelle: Amsterdam, Netherlands (present day)
Kolviður turned down the narrow alleyway, boots clicking against cobbled stone. Amsterdam's quiet central lanes were mostly like this — pulsing with rot and easy to miss if you didn't know exactly where to look. Tourists never wandered too far into the seams of the capital, not this late. The sky was pitch black overhead, the stench of summer lingering in the air with red-lit glass glowing in the distance. It was almost the perfect city for a murderous beast to lure unsuspecting victims into a deadly trap and have their way with them. Perhaps that explained the two bodies already lifeless on the cold floor, or the third that joined them with a few twitches as their blood poured like wine into a gutter drain. Barbaric.
The woman — the creature — stood over the scene looking proud. Streaks of red coloured her otherwise dark features, looking like she'd viciously clawed her way inside someone's throat. A pretty scene. It wasn't the first time Kol had been made aware of her chaotic existence. They whispered about her sadism in France's underground, with a particular coven gifting her the moniker 'La Croqueuse'. She was a nomadic storm, known for her tricks and questionable jewellery choices. That's why he'd followed her here. He stepped forward, slow and deliberate, stopping before her with his eyes drifting up the length of her body. She looked beautiful. Not in that dull, statuesque way vampires often preserved their prey. She was covered in hunger, in violence, in cruelty, and she didn't know the meaning of the word 'shame'.
❛❛ You missed a spot. ❜❜ His palm pressed lightly against her cheek, fingers almost floating beneath her chin as he guided her gaze to his. The blood plastered across her lips was still warm when he wiped it with the pad of his thumb. He paused for a few moments, staring intently before having a taste. Her kill. Delightful. ❛❛ You're not being very subtle tonight, sweetheart. ❜❜ There wasn't accusation or distaste in his tone, only admiration. ❛❛ Four, five, just in todays count? You'll set the city ablaze at this rate. ❜❜ Kol grinned wide and his eyes glinted as if he was looking down at something precious. ❛❛ Are you hunting because you're hungry, or because men leave a particularly foul taste in your mouth? Don't worry — I'm not a very big fan of most gents either. ❜❜
