My social reporting app Meegloo has just been accepted into the Race for Apps contest. In their own words:

Race for Apps is a competition to crowd-source mobile apps from the digital community for visitors, business people & journalists coming into the local area during the 2012 Games.

The contest is divided up into a number of categories (or "lanes"), and my submission comes under the Citizen Journalism category. It's a contest to find useful apps to use around the Olympics events in Shoreditch, and is supported by Digital Shoreditch and the UKI among others.

In April, the competing apps will be crowd-tested, and the judging panel will decide which apps are awarded gold, silver and bronze in each category.
