like, specifically the fact that he doesn’t use contractions (ex. “oh, they are stairs” instead of “oh, they’re stairs”) and uses fairly proper grammar (ex. calling tom “lord of donuts”, or him saying “how dare you attack me in my hour of sorrow”)

A paladin with levels in bard, seemingly unsure in his position as a paladin, that was immediately sniffed out as a liar by the champion of the god he claims to serve. SO MANY ALARMS WENT OFF!

The only thing that didn't seem out of place about Braius is that I thought he was lying. As a paladin of Asmodeus, it tracks, but he's real bad at it imo. And Tevan saying what he said just clenched it for me. SO...

I think Braius IS a herald, or was a herald before he became a paladin. And his emphasis on how "times aren't safe for religious people" gave me an idea. I think he was indeed a herald, a herald for an Asmodean paladin that may have been murdered by an anti-religious (or at least anti-Asmodeus) mob. And this herald, wanting to reinvent himself forr whatever reason, possibly jacked the dead paladin's kit, and now passes himself off as such.

This is a term I coined myself back when I was tutoring this little kid. He seemed to have the same problem I had in regards to not being able to focus. We both had random thoughts "jump around" when working, so I tried to devise a way to help with this.

I read somewhere that writing things down helps you to get them out of your head. There is also a phrase that my family and I tend to use dealing with rogue thoughts: "Take every thought captive", meaning to take it and reason with it, not let it get the better of you (also helpful for intrusive thoughts). But this made me think of the concept of catching rabbits and putting them in a pen. It's a kid-friendly explanation and just a fun one too!

TL;DR: write down rogue thoughts as they come. Can categorize for later: random things, to-do tasks, urgent must-do right now

Straight recolours are pretty uncommon. I can’t think of any right now. I’m not exactly an AU expert tho.

As a relative newbie to art, I can say this: It’s actually really, really, hard to work with colour, and whenever I see a design that does very little to change itself from Sans’ design, is distinctive, looks great and doesn’t rely on stripes, I am actually really impressed!
