A shriek left the blue haired woman, whirling around to meet Hiro’s face. Her phone in her hands and pressed against her chest as she panting softly. “Christ on a cracker, Hiro! You scared me.” She hissed at him, shooting him a disapproving look before turning her back to him and finishing her conversation.
“I know I miss you too.” Her voice almost childlike, her movements were as well ─ picking at her shirt, a smile on her lips. “Mm, I love you more. Talk to you later.” Once the call ended, she felt the air change drastically and cool feel him shooting daggers at her back. She slowly turned around, a brow raised.
“The heck is your problem?” Her stance was confident and seemed unfazed by the cold icy glare he gave her but the shakiness in her voice and the way her moved rapidly from one item to the next before landing on him told the truth. Hiro repeated his question and Chloe smacked her lips. “My brother you dang weirdo. Why do you care?” Which was an excellent question. Why did he care so much?
Frankly, it meant nothing to Hiro who Chloe was on the phone with. He wasn’t her boyfriend and had no intention of ever chaining himself to another person’s expectations. With his course words, cold gaze and the lingering eau de parfum of cigarettes and soju that followed him around, he had doubts that Chloe would want it either. However, what he lacked in warmth, he made up for in possessiveness. Considering that he had come all the way to the suffocating Apgujeong bookstore - which was frankly more Nathaniel’s scene than his - he had the expectation that Chloe’s attention be on him.
"Making sure you’re not being stupidly tagged along by a teenager lover boy,” he grumbled, hands buried into his jean pockets. The V neckline of his shirt dipped to his chest, showing off a long silver chain upon which hung a silver pendant. JV - Jupiter Verse. They all had one and often joked that it’s be much easier to just get the logo tattooed on their ass. Hiro suggested a dick tattoo instead - shows dedication. “Is there a reason you told me to meet you here?” he asked, nose wrinkled, “It smells like a damn nursing home.”
