The following happens in Ramadhan:
• The Qur’an was revealed
• Fasting becomes obligatory upon the Ummah
• Gates of Paradise are opened
• Gates of Hell are closed
• Shayteen are chained
• Deeds are multiplied many times
• Du‘a is answered
• Sins are forgiven
• Laylatul Qadr occurs (better than 1000 months)
• The smell of the fasting person is beloved to Allah
• Charity and generosity increase
• Souls are freed from the Fire every night
• It is a month of patience and patience leads to Jannah
• The best example of generosity was shown by Prophet Muhammad especially in Ramadhan
• Hearts soften and return to Allah
