#quote wallpaper

i've recced @katherynefromphilly's We Begin Again series before, but yeah. read it!! SO worth your time. this quote is from Our Destinies Our Own (the sequel to And like the cycle of the year, we begin again): "That's the way I love you. Like the earth loves its magic."

makes my earth tremble, for me specifically. couldn't decide on one mood, so made two wallpapers for this one! i feel like the first one captures that earth shattering feel, while the second one is more peaceful, closer to the way it was said in the actual fic.

there are a few wallpapers here, in the order i made them (not chronological hehe)! first one is from The Cruel Prince: "I hate him more than all the others. I hate him so much that sometimes when I look at him, I can hardly breathe."

the next one is directly related to this first one, because i thought it fabulously mirrored the change in jurdan's relationship over the course of the books. they're so gorgeous. agh beautiful writing when you can notice these things on the third reread. from The Wicked King: "I hate you. I hate you so much that sometimes I can’t think of anything else." it directly mirrors the TCP quote, but this time the passion overshadows the sorrow and hatred, so i wanted the wallpaper to reflect that change. proud of these two!

next one is from The Queen of Nothing: "By you, I am forever undone." short and devastating, this one's a classic. mostly inspired by the text bubble thing, which i did not make this time!

got through all of those, realized i was still obsessed, so next one is from The Cruel Prince again: "Have I told you how hideous you look tonight?" "No. Tell me." "I cannot."

(while we're here, read devil's finery by @scarletaire. jurdan. jude in mortal clothes. cardan, immediately at her feet. same for jude, but ofc she wouldn't admit something so damning. domestic, married. angst that hits you out of nowhere?? delicious. SO GOOD. need i say more.)

i've been working on making the wallpapers look like the way i feel when i read the quotes. i think it's working

last one is sugary sweet, from How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories: "You really are terrible, you know that? I don’t even understand why the things you say make me smile." (possibly every crush i've ever had. jeez.) it makes me happy that they've finally found their peace.

left some space there for your phone to cover up space with the app bar thing at the bottom, etc, but you can crop it if needed!
