It's DONE! I'm pretty sure i mentioned this before, but i got the fabric off Amazon.
I worked on this on my days off from work over a couple weeks. It was definitely a learning experience!
Especially when it came to the order of operations on how to construct it once all the squares were sewn together. I chose a haori as my template because they're pretty simple if you're not trying to be extra like I am. 😆
Just the topstitching took a day to do because it was already mostly pieced together and I wasn't using a flat sandwich of fabric. If I had reversed those two steps, it probably wouldn't look so wrinkly.
I was inspired by @brittany.frey on Instagram and her beautiful quilted designs! I'm still really proud of it regardless because when I make clothes for cosplay, they're never this involved.
I'm gonna be taking a break from sewing while I figure out what I want to do with the rest of the fabric. I probably could make another with what I learned and make it look nicer, but a small part of me wants to make a bag. Or a lap quilt. 🤷♀️ Maybe I'll start The Witcher later when it cools down.
