Cinema’s been getting ambitious as of recently.” Eddie teases to Gareth while slipping out of the theater and back out into the long hall. Just as he’s about to make his way up to the concessions stand, he sees Robin Buckley and Steve Harrington slip into the girl’s bathroom together.

Eddie didn’t protest when Jessica had picked him up. He felt weak for the first time in months. He hadn’t thought much of it until his chest burned, feeling tight and then the discomfort. Coughing and gagging up more tar-thick sludge blood. Groaning and trying to suppress it.

A sigh escapes Eddie as he watches Steve get up to get another rag. Most of his wounds were patched up. There were only a few left that the metal head could honestly do himself despite how fatigued he was. “Are you sure about that? you’re kinda shakey, Steve.” Calling him out with a tired tone. 

Shooting up out of his bed when the younger man had collapsed. “Steve!?” He winces in pain while he scrambles off the bed to check on the other brunet. Checking his head and then his pulse. Making sure Steve hadn’t just decided to die on him. “Goddamn idiot..” He mutters to himself while carefully pulling Steve’s head on to his good thigh. Deciding to grab the medical kit, starting to clean up Steve’s wounds since it had been awhile since anyone had looked after Harrington.

Eddie had been excited and he had good news to tell Elie. He didn’t want to bust through the arcade screaming. So he waited outside. As soon as he saw Elie come out, he bolted from the side of his van, scooping her up into his arms.

“You’re a life saver, Rei.” Eddie grins while he sits down with his metal lunch box that held everything but lunch. Watching her pull out sandwiches and chips. He pops open his metal lunch box. Grabbing one of the wrapped pot brownies. “Fair trade for now?” Asking while he offers it to her. “They’re a little stronger than the last time I made them. So uh-- don’t eat the entire thing in one go.” Politely warning her before he accepts one of the sandwiches, unwrapping it and taking a bite.

Eddie slowly nods at the question. “Yeah.. It was terrifying the first time it happened. Flower face softened your fall, he noticed before I did because he always walks behind us... I thought that something had claimed your soul and took you away.. But you were still breathing. Your eyes rolled back in your skull.. I didn’t know what had happened. But, I knew that I had to get you somewhere safe. So.. I carried your barely breathing body back to our RV trailer.” He softly explains, his voice thickening as he had to recount that night.

Over the previous summer, they had become friends. Eddie used to hang out at the mall while he may or may not have been crushing on Steve ‘The Hair’ Harrington. He winded up befriending Robin. The two had a lot more in common than what they were willing to admit. Eddie could tell that she wasn’t a straight Jane. But he never asked her about it. Robin had been subtle while he was flagging in his back pocket without a care in the world.

Concern flooding his chest as he let Robin into his trailer and actually got a good look at the shiner on her face. Once ice pack and a cozy blanket later, Robin was curled up on his couch. Eddie was mainly just hoping he could get her to talk in the hopes that she didn’t have a concussion. “Don’t say that..” He mutters lightly, not wanting to think of her in an early grave. “You do have people that care about you kid, Even if it’s only a few. I know that Harrington and Henderson would miss ya. I’d miss you too, you know.” His voice softening while he thinks to himself. 

“Yeah, of course. Stay as long as you want. I’ll uh-- clean up my room some. If.. If you’re afraid to go home. Then don’t. Sleep at my place or Steve’s.. or if you need to go home for what ever reason. I’ll tag along with you.” Promising Robin as he didn’t trust her father. He wouldn’t mind taking one for the team and spending a night or two in jail for protecting his friend if it came down to a fist fight in her living room. 

AU where Eddie survives the demo bat attack. They retrieve his corpse. He lives with Steve. Slow burn relationship between them.

Demon!Eddie sneaking into the Right Side Up because he misses his friends, he decides to visit Steve because he felt comforted by him. Steve obviously freaks out at first but doesn’t call the cops. Keeps his Demon!boyfriend safe at home.

Demon!Eddie Lowkey kidnapping Steve who decides to wander back into the upside down alone. He misses him, so he keeps him. Cx
