safe to say if bucky had arrived in england during the final events of ffh beck would've been taken care of instantly. but that aside, if bucky had only shown up in the aftermath when everything was already out in the open. and then the events of nwh took place normal until bucky checks in on peter and discovers all the villains from other worlds and what peter plans to do.
may would probably live. BUT. i just thought of bucky being there to witness peter's murderous rage against the goblin at the end how that would make him feel. especially the look in his eyes. how there was barely any trace of the kid he knew in them. i'm talking winter soldier flashbacks.
the spell. maybe the spell still happens but for whatever reason bucky still remembers. maybe out of sheer stubbornness, or immunity, his memory has been wiped so many times over even magic memory erasing spells don't get him.
oops i rambled. but i just love the idea of bucky being there to protect his kid in nwh.

steve, the fun one - (when it comes to dangerous situations though he quickly goes into protection mode, he was in trouble a lot both pre-serum and just after so he'd definitely try and make sure peter learns not to do the same. still, he's a lot more chill in any other situation)
bucky, the responsible one - he can be fun. he really can. but he just wants to make sure peter doesn't get hurt more than anything. he sees how similar he is to pre-serum steve and knows where that can get him. he's the one who often helps peter spar, trying to train him up so that he can properly defend himself.

steve definitely has the energy of being chill, but stern. bucky on the other hand would be the one to get mad, especially if the bullying was physical, like peter gets hit (and pete wouldn't hit back, power responsibility and all that so he'd just take it) but bucky? oh he wouldn't have it. he wouldn't resort to violence but he'd do more than just a โstern talkโ like steve
