The Gift of the Pandemic Virtual wine tastings are one of my favourite fruits of these years of distance and difficulty. We were able to meet @bottleofgrapes, a South African winemaker whose work at @querciabella in Italy is truly extraordinary. He also shared some sweet things about his Scottish wife. One such thing, when the pipes were frozen to minus 9 degrees Celsius, he heated them up with his wife’s hairdryer to counter the frost.
