01.23.18 | Real Talk... • Having a conversation with a friend today and I was saying how I get so discouraged at times because I struggle with marketing my photog business. I’m not a Sales person and I struggle talking up my work. So when the few ideas or plans I make to market myself showup in another business owners website or social media pages, I immediately get discouraged and refuse to run my promo because I never want to feel like I’m stealing or copying. • Today it happened again and I felt defeated... telling myself, “See, You can’t do this.” or “Too Late, you missed your opportunity.” • I had to take a step back and ask me self. Do you REALLY want this? Then go after it. Then I started remembering advice I heard in a few different places and made a CHOICE to do it anyway, my way! • Because... 1. It wasn’t a brand new idea when they did it or when you thought about it, so why can’t you do it? 2. Stop speaking these fears into existence! Speak positively about yourself! 3. Why don’t you look at this as confirmation that you are on the right track, that you DO know what you need to do next, that this is obviously a proven non icky way to market and grow your business. 4. You have the CHOICE to change and you can blame anyone later for YOUR choice to do something or to not do something. • We have to change our language, how we think, speak and talk about ourself. Do your work, be genuine and transparent and know that you got this!!!
